Double Locks Pub - Exeter - Photo album

Celebrated our wedding here a few weeks ago. Tom and the team were amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly. Leading up to the day Tom was very responsive via email and happy to accommodate any requests we had. Our guests loved the hog roast and lots were commenting they pref
Randomly saw this place whilst looking for somewhere to eat, had no expectations and were questioning if it was a good choice when we drove across one of the narrowest bridges and down a single track road. We were far from disappointed when we saw the pub, it’s situated right on the lock which sets
Love this. Stunning location with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your drinks and food. There is parking on site but would have to drive on a single road. Would recommend cycling there though as the path goes along the beautiful river Exe. Walking is amazing too. Will find plenty of cyclists and
A random find on Google, and so glad I did! We'll definitely be back ☺️ Double Locks is beautifully situated on the canal. Huge garden area to sit in, including tables in the shade, dog friendly, and even being there on one of the hottest days of the year there was plenty of available space, and ser
Lovely lazy afternoon in the sun.... Pleasant food, efficiently served. Disappointingly small cheesecake dessert for £9... Delicious, but very very pricey. In total, food came to £50 for a sharing platter of hummus, olives, bread, feta and salad, a small plate of whitebait, and two desserts... Not g
Lovely pub in a gorgeous location, great atmosphere & service. We’ve enjoyed the burgers today more than we did the Sunday Roast last time 😎
Didn't have food this time. But will be going back again great location and dog friendly.
Such a warm welcome on a wet day. Open fires in one lounge/room and another in the room where the bar is. Very unrushed atmosphere, friendly dogs welcome, and ample space inside and out. We'd just had tea and cake say the quay, so their lighter meals were ideal. Both the Haddock and Cumberland saus
The pub is in an amazing setting. The app is a good idea but your order arrives dependent on available staff. So pudding and coffee came quick but drinks took ages. The group said their food was good but sadly mine was disappointing. However, when sharing quietly my views, the waitress indicated s
Historic inn on the banks of the Exeter Ship Canal and a delightful spot to enjoy lunch in a serene setting. Excellent food and friendly service add to the experience and make this a firm favourite.
Lovely pub in stunning location. Good food well made. Nice selection of drinks. Not cheap, but the quality of food goes some way to explaining this.
After a nice around 30-40 minute Walk from Exeter centre you arrive at this beautifully located pub. Ample seating under shady trees at the waterfront, friendly service, a good selection of ales and ciders. Definitely worth a visit if you're visiting Exeter!
Based on the Exeter Canal this is a fantastic pub. It's got loads of character and the location is to die for. Plenty of people in having food (which looked great). The outside space is unbelievable with a number of marquees dotted around. I don't know how many can sit outside but it must be 200/300
Popped in after a long day at work for a bit of dinner. Food was beautifully cooked. Steak was really great value and seasoned well. Service was lovely and friendly too. The management really have got the right balance with this beautiful venue. Definitely visit again soon.
This was a great find, if your out and about defo call into this pub. It's warm, cosy and the food is amazing. Ironically that is why I marked it down. The menu is too notch. I was after just something basic like nuggets for the kids. The basic options include camembert cheese triangles with garnish
Lovely place by the water. I hadn't been for years so I was pleased to see little has changed. This place is very busy in the summer months with cyclists, canooers and walkers. Great atmosphere and good food. A little expensive for what you get but that's a small criticism.
Perfect light lunch, service quick and friendly. We picked a quiet time and everything spot on, only negative- we booked that morning online, had a confirmation of booking, but staff did not have this booking, said booking that morning would not register in the pub? Did not affect our booking as it
