Enjoyed a dinner date here on a Friday evening. Itās usually pretty relaxed with not a lot of people. The food is really good and the service was amazing too. Itās nice to sit outside and enjoy a dinner on a bright sunny day looking at the cathedral. The only issue is there are lots of drunk groups who hangout just outside the restaurant and make a lot of noise and nuisance. They are there every day.
Iām going to have to make another review because me and my mum are obsessed with this place we visit here all the time and itās the only place will eat at we are regulars and itās amazing i really recommend this place if u have not tried the pizzas itās so delicious and always love having a catch up with Wendy the best manager in town she is very welcoming she needs to be noticed as the best manager we have known her since the Torquay before it closed and we was sad to see that go but we miss the food so much we have to travel to Exeters branch because itās so good i canāt go on how much we love it !
Had a fantastic time at Pizza Express a few days back, thanks to the Wendy. Her warm and friendly welcome made our visit special right from the start. Wendy's attentive service and helpful menu suggestions made the evening even better. Her genuine care for guests is truly commendable. The food was amazing and the ambiance is also nice. If the weather is nice I will suggest to dine outside. If you're looking for a great dining experience, ask for Wendy - she's the best!
Wendy was very helpful and provided great service. The restaurants systems were down when we visited which made it very tricky and hectic for the staff. Wendy and her team were efficient and hard working. Providing us with great service, a lovely atmosphere in a clearly very busy restaurant. Plus Wendy made sure we arrived on time for a show we were going to see!

Exceptional. Thoughtful. Non-judgemental. Three of the many words that could be used to describe our server at pizza express, Oscar. Oscar not only made us feel at ease immediately but happily put up with my āspecial friendāsā quirks (such as lining everything up on the table and making an embarrassing mess of our ice cream). Not only did Oscar not judge us, his eyes said that he forgave us, which meant more than anything else could have. Though things started off rocky, he really pulled it back and it is my professional opinion as a food critic that Oscar made the food better by delivering it with a smile. If i ran pizza express, I would give Oscar a raise of at least 15 percent because he doused the food with love, something that cannot be faked. Things took a turn for the worse when disgracefully, they had no whipped cream for our billionaires sundae, which ordinarily would have caused me to walk out, fuming. Luckily however, oscar came to the rescue and provided us with a cone on the top, which not only looked extremely artistic but also provided us with the flavour we required. I cannot recommend Oscar enough. He was the shining light of our evening.
We had no reservation but they fitted us in and service was very efficiently in the time we had available. Food was excellent. A lovely setting overlooking Cathedral Green.
Superb meal at Pizza Express Exeter tonight. Had the new chilli tequila cocktail, calamari & calabrese. Food was exceptional and great service received. Many thanks to Wendy for the extra special attention.
What lovely staff, Wendy found my son and I a table straight away, even with the lunch time rush, and staffing lower than usual. Olivia was great as well, both looking after us very well, quick friendly service, without being rushed. Even though busy, there was no compromise on the food or the service and we both had a lovely time. Always a good meal at Exeter pizza express.
Itās a Pizza Express, but itās got to be one of the best - if not the best - positioned pizza places in the UK. Itās smack bang in front of Exeter Cathedral, which is a stunning piece of architecture.
Staff are all very friendly, and itās about to have a major refurb. Lovely spot for lunch with kids in tow.
i was waited on by oscar and given the most wonderful, thoughtful service. my glass was never empty and he made sure i had everything i needed. i saw him making all of the drinks i had that day and i am beyond impressed that he managed to not only take care of his other tables but also to run his food, make other drinks, and serve countless patrons as they came in aside from me, all while making my drinks and making sure my food came in a timely manner. overall the atmosphere of the restaurant is excellent and there is no lacking. i will definitely be back to pizza express exeter!
Our server, a man called Oscar, displayed the best customer service Iāve seen in the hospitality industry in a long time. He was attentive, kind and really astute. Food was great too, a top experience all around.
Arrived late evening after a long journey with a dog, the manager was extremely accommodating. Allowed us a table outside even though that area has closed. Really looked after us all, hugely appreciated and highly recommended this Pizza Express.
Far more than just about pizza. Lovely place great service and atmosphere and the food is good too!

My recent visit to Pizza Express was an absolute delight, all thanks to the incredible service provided by Adam and Wendy, the manager. He went out of her way to make sure that we had a memorable dining experience. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor were remarkable. Along with the delicious food, the exceptional service from the manager made the experience even more enjoyable. I can't recommend Pizza Express enough, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
