Highly recommend this family friendly pub. Super friendly staff and delicious food. The menu offers a great choice of food. A bonus to have a kids inside play area and also the garden with slide/climbing frame. We were made to feel very welcome and will definitely return. Well done �
Plenty of car parking on arrival. Greeted by a friendly lady who showed us to our table. I was only able to give them an hours notice on a Bank Holiday Monday so was prepared for a wait but the table was already prepped for our arrival. Drinks were brought to the table which was a nice touch, saved going up to the bar. Plenty of choice on the menu despite other reviews saying menu choice was limited!? Lovely specials board too. Food arrived quickly, hot and correct. No issues what so ever. Highly recommend �
Great service. Decent food at good prices. Nice to have indoor and outdoor areas for play. Not yet seen the new and improved indoor play room but hoping it will be even better and more modern and therefore be a place to gather for winter food / play! �

Booked a table in this lovely place for lunch as a pit stop to our holiday in St Ives and it was a great find. Not to far off the main road and very spacious. Dog friendly, staff friendly and great food. Will definitely use this again in the future when down this way.
What a lovely place for a meal out. Great food with plentiful portions and served quickly. The food is always tasty and at a reasonable price. Love the family room with a secure playroom for kids to play with toys and slides. It means you can relax and take your time to eat your meal whilst the kids can get down and play, not many places have this facility. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is clean and tidy and there is plenty of parking outside. Deffinately worth a visit.
We followed a brown sign to find this pub after we detoured away from busy traffic on the A30. It was a great little pitstop for us, decently priced good food and attentive service. There was a nice atmosphere and decor in the food area of the pub and the play area was a real bonus for the children after a morning in the car. A nice find.
Lovely country pub atmosphere suits all age groups. Lovely happy helpful staff. very good food, very fresh, plenty of choice. high chairs etc available my grandchildren loved the food. Children's play area outside keep my grandchildren aged 20 months and 6 amused for ages. Would recommend
Really enjoyed our visit to The Twisted Oak. Atmosphere was very good. Place was really clean and well placed. Staff were friendly but come across a little stand off-ish but still remain professionl. Outside play area is pretty decent and seating areas were well presented.
We all had burgers which were really nice and we all enjoyed them. Think prices are a little high, especially when they charge £2 extra for cheese and £2 extra for bacon. That's really high mark up considering the prices of those ingredients.
Wonderful pub food in generous portions. Play area for children in large beer garden. Quiet location to enjoy when using A30 on run from or to Cornwall.
This is a great place to eat, we had a table of 12 people and three dogs here today, food was great, no Calvary today but the chilli can carne was very nice, lots of people with dogs and the staff make them feel very welcome, brought over a bowl of water for the dogs and we didn’t have to ask, also offered some treats for them but we had brought our own, the staff are very welcoming and friendly, haven’t been here for a while but will be booking for Sunday lunch soon, thank you twisted oak. We will be back again soon.
Friendly staff, great kids play area, lovely beer garden. Enjoyed our gammon and chips/sausage and mash. Visited twice on our long weekend near by.
This was our first pub meal in a long time, thanks to Covid, and was a reminder of what we've been missing all this time. Service and food were superb, friendly staff and great ambience.We are "fussy" vegans but they had us well catered for by their excellent menu. They deserve 5* in my opinion.
Absolutely fantastic place Food is spot on Massive portions. Staff are friendly and real good laugh too. We had a party of 25 and they catered brilliantly. Give it visit guys It's kid friendly too with indoor and outdoor play areas Love it!!!!

Absolutely lovely pub! The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating or friendly. They were very patient with us when ordering, laughing and joking with us and made us feel so welcome.
The food was delicious, and you get a lot for your money. They had no issue packaging up our leftovers for us, and we left absolutely stuffed!
Beautiful conservatory area, very whimsical with all the flowers and lights. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will be visiting again 😁
Moved to Exeter about a year ago and was looking for a child friendly pub to relax... Well we found it and on the even more plus side the food is 10/10 especially the fish 🐟... will be coming here again for sure 😉
We came back from jacks patch garden centre feeling hungry so decided to give a try as haven't been for long time we both had the fish 🐟 and chips 🍟 they were delicious 😋 will go back again lovely lady serving and friendly it was just enough for us old timers 👍🏻👍🏻
I have booked this venue for my mum's wake last year and my daughter's baby shower recently.
It's such a beautiful venue, the conservatory is absolutely stunning, decorated with colourful flowers and fairy lights.
I requested a buffet on both occasions and the food was lovely. The cake selection was really pretty and went down well with the guests.
The staff were brilliant and really couldn't do enough for us.
