We've been waiting a long time for a Greek restaurant in Exeter, and so pleased to say that we had a really fantastic meal tonight.
The restaurant is a lovely, airy space, the staff are friendly and attentive, service was great - quick enough to keep up with my appetite but without ever making me feel rushed.
Everything we ate was fresh, really well cooked and delicious - the standout dishes were the spicy Tirokafteri (thanks to our waitress for the recommendation), the delicately battered Calamari and the tender, lemony, chargrilled Octopus. I would have liked to see more choices on the dessert menu though. Prices are completely reasonable - especially given the really high quality of the food.
Loved it and will definitely go back.
First meal in the Greek Taverna and it was very delicious. The service was quick and efficient, the starters we had were really tasty, Feta cheese in the oven, and Dolmades (stuffed vine leaves) and the main courses Beef Stifado and Lamb Chops were really full of flavour. My husband had Mythos beer and then we shared a bottle of S African Sauvignon Blanc wine. Overall a good impression of this new restaurant in Exeter. I would like them to add to the menu some aubergines in tomato sauce and perhaps some stuffed tomatoes and red peppers. Wishing the staff and management good luck. Ευχαριστω πολι.
Great addition to Exeter. We shared the halloumi and mushroom starters, both of which were tasty, then had the moussaka which was very nice indeed. Fab Baklava finished our meal off perfectly. Service was friendly it could have been quicker, but they have only been open about a week and clearly have staffing issues. We had three courses in under 90 mins so it was fine, food was too good to rush anyway. Good value - any starter and a main for £16!
