This is our favourite cafe. Apart from the cakes, the Welsh Rarebit and great coffee, all of the staff are so welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel at home. If you've never been, you have to go!

Lovely to visit Lutzys again today after moving out of Exeter 4 years ago. My son had his first taste of the famous Lutzy chocolate brownie- we will def be back

Great homemade cakes (particularly the brownies) They do a good range of icecreams and smoothies as well as a large selection of sandwiches. The staff are friendly and it is a good place to sit outside in summer

Friendly waterfront cafe with outside seating. Easy to find. Nice cool stone flooring for a hot dog to lay on! Parasols for the outside tables were very welcome. Service was quick. Nice choice of drinks.

This place is outstanding! Largely due to the friendliness, care and attention to detail and great receipes which are the hallmarks of Lutzy (the owner). Although we no longer live in the area, we would return in a heartbeat if we are ever back in Exeter!

Absolutely love this little cafe. The food is wholesome and very tasty, cakes home made and to die for. Good coffee, friendly, attentive staff and thankfully really close to us. Our new favourite place to go. Oh and doggie friendly too.

Nice location at the Exeter Quay. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Great spot to relax outdoors with a cappuccino and slice of homemade cake, Portuguese pastel de nata, scone or muffin, after a morning's sightseeing. Probably already well-known to locals, but as tourists we were lucky to come across this gem.

Portuguese run cafe on the quayside at Exeter. The homemade cakes and particularly Portuguese tarts are excellent. Not far off the Exe cycle trail.

Great place for a coffee and home-made cake (including pastel de nata) for reasonable prices. The menu also includes light meals eg home-made soup with sour dough bread, and toasties. Quite a few vegetarian options too :-) You can sit outside on a sunny day, or sit indoors. It's a lovely place to visit after a walk or cycle around the river.
