Reviews Carluccio's - Exeter

On our first trip to the UK two years ago, I remembered eating breakfast at a Carluccio's - I remembered it so vividly in fact that when we returned in September, I refused to leave without going again. We did go to a different location this most recent time, but our experience was the same. They sincerely make the best Eggs Benedict I've ever eaten. I can't even eat it in Canada anymore because it's simply not the same. I also love their beans! The earl gray tea they serve is different than most I've tried - I wish they sold it, as I wasnt able to find anything similar in stores. Servers are pleasant, and it's nice to be able to shop for gifts and snacks after our meal. I recently tried their cocoa meringue - and dear me it did not last long. Every trip to the UK will be accompanied by a meal here!

Lovely place, like the decorations on the shelves on the walls using colorful Panettone boxes. Great location in Exeter. Staff was nice, it was busy between Christmas and New year but our lunch was still out within 15 minutes. Have visited with my 13 month old and restaurant has high chairs available and baby change facilities at the disabled WC. Tasty food, had chicken and pesto risotto. The only thing we were disappointed with was ciabbata with garlic which was grilled /fried and soaked in oil, took one bite and left the rest.

Had an amazing light but filling lunch at Carluccios in PrincessHay today: The food was delicious, reasonably priced, quick to come out & the staff couldn't have been more helpful! (I changed my mind last min but the lovely man - I'm so sorry I've forgotten your name - sorted everything instantly!) I'd definitely recommend to anyone & will be visiting again to sample more!

The rain came tipping down, and we dashed into the closest Italian restaurant (we have a 7-year-old fussy eater). Despite being a bit posh, they were pleased to welcome families with young children. As well as feeling welcome, the food importantly was delicious.

Never knew it was there,a chance encounter you might say but wow, great menu, happy staff, wonderful food. We had one gluten free in our party and one egg free. Menus for both available each dish was checked with the chef. Excellent. I'm going again soon.

Is a chain restaurant company with a good reputation to uphold, which the staff at the Exeter did successfully. As it was the Late Christmas shopping evening, the restaurant was busy, but the service we had was still attentive and effective. Our food was also good. The menu was devoid of pizzas which meant we had to be adventurous and that got another tick! I did not pay the bill, but we were 4 in our party, and the payer felt she had had good value.
