The pub is closed and up for sale sadly. Looks nice from the outside and right next to the church.

I came upon this pub by pure chance on a trip to study Edwin lutyens architectural masterpiece Castle Drogo. This pub was the cherry on the top of the cake. About 400 years old and unspoilt interior an absolute gem serving top quality cask conditioned real ale. Perhaps it's because it's Off the Beaten Track that this pub has managed to survive so well. Any lovers of Real Ale and historic pubs needs to visit this place. Definitely in my top 10 favourite pubs in England.

Very warm welcome! It's been a pub since the 1600's! And there are stories to go with it! My boy's loved hearing them! They've not stopped telling their mates about our visit! Good luck to the new landlord btw!

Good authentic pub, good beers, food looked good too. A warm welcome, first class service. Shame we weren't there for long. Lovely history inside about the oldest Landlady. I recommend stopping for a drink. Beautastic!

Lunch - good pub grub served with a smile and with good ales. Nothing pretentious here, just a real local pub. Evening Open Mic night. ...A great welcome for us as two holidaying buskers. Unusually for some mic nights, there were no prima donnas - just genuine and talented musos covering many styles. A really appreciative audience and musicians who'd stayed for the whole evening - not just doing their bit and leaving. An excellent night in a proper pub - thank you.

We had dinner and a few ciders here. The landlord was very friendly and food was typical pub club and tasty. The pub was busy with lots of chat and dogs.

Lovely old pub. Friendly locals and proper beer. Didn't eat here but had a good reputation for food locally. Rooms were basic and could do with updating a bit, but the bed was really comfy and the breakfast was sumptuous.

This is a historic and unspoilt pub of its era and very special for being so. If you can appreciate it for the gem that it is then great, but don't start looking for a jukebox etc. We called at a quiet time, the beer and ciders were good and the landlord told us a lot about the facinating history of the pub as it has been in his family for years. Would like to spend more time here.

Lovely looking pub. Food was average. Attempted gastro. Slate plates etc Not really high enough quality for the price. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Lovely setting. Would recommend for mid week meal out and a nice pint.

Absolutely a gem of a place. Just what I needed, a clean and tidy place and quiet too. Although not in Exeter itself it's only about 25 mins away and apart from the nice digs there's also a rally nice pub there too. Had a good welcome and a great breakfast. Would highly recommend. 👍👍👍👍

Traditional thatched pub with excellent food and variety of beers and in particular ciders. Was originally run by Ms.Mudge who was at one time the oldest pub landlady in Britain. Well worth a visit.

If you want a pint in one of the most beautiful parts of England the dropping in at the Drew Arms is highly recommend. The pub is a little bit like dropping into your neighbors for a pint. No real bar, more like a serving hatch into the kitchen but a great collection of ciders, beers and ale. Some food is offer as well.

Had lunch here today with two friends, one of us had lamb steak , one had sausage and mash and myself , I had fish and chips, three delicious meals , we thoroughly enjoyed. Warm chocolate brownie x 3 finished off our meal nicely. Very friendly service. Worth a visit if you find yourself in the vicinity.

This was an amazing find! My visit here was exceptional from our first arrival, first lunch everyone was incredibly helpful. I stayed here for 1 night including bed and breakfast. Good value for money. Double bed with ensuite, full English breakfast for £60.
