Absurd Bird - Exeter - Photo album

We were staying nearby and were looking for something on the healthier side; we were checking out the menu and were about to walk away because the menu lists everything as fried and has no grilled options when an employee came out and told us everything fried can be ordered grilled so we decided to
Super friendly staff. The waffle was good. Unfortunately, the fried chicken was very dry. It’s eatable with loads of sauce. I personally wouldn’t order it again. I’ve been to better American diners in Bristol. I rather pay more to get better quality of food than having this.
Absurd Bird is a firm favourite for us when we’re wanting Chicken! I love the chicken and waffles and always order the deep fried pickles. So glad to see they’ve got ranch dressing back too! We’ve been going since it opened and it’s definitely had ups and downs, but our visit last night was great!
Great food , delicious, yummy I came twice till now , and i will come more Chicken buffalo Macrony cheese Wings Fries Lemonade, and cola All of them are yummy The service 10/10 staff are friendly and helpful in both times i been here The vibe of the place ( cozy ) I hope everyone give them a chance
Booked a table for 4 for my partners birthday (Saturday night) really good vibe throughout (although the toilets were very dark!) we were seated in a table with a swing seat, which we thought was very cool! The food was amazing, Im vegetarian and there is a good small range of vegan / veggie items.
A group of us went out looking for somewhere to eat that none of us had been to before and having read the menu we thought we’d head in. Food lived up to expectations and the bar staff were lovely. Had a lovely chat with Louis when ordering drinks and he recommended the cocktails which were amazing.
Due to a technical error (our order didn't make it to the chef and we had to chase it up) we waited for almost an hour. However, when it arrived, the food was great. Possibly the best chips ever and a delicious macaroni cheese.
This was our first time visiting Absurd Bird in Exeter and it certainly won’t be our last. Lovely atmosphere, really friendly staff (don’t know the name of our waiter but he was a delight) . Delicious food and competitive prices. Well worth a visit.
