Another visit to Exeter, and it became a family tradition is to visit Comptoir Libanais, located at the centre of Exeter high street. The food is delicious and the menu is well chosen, variety of food with vegetarian/vegan options. The staff is lovely and very welcoming. Overall, it’s the best food in Exeter

This Libanais is situated in the centre of Exeter. My friend and I were shopping in a really typical chaotic day of Exeter. We went in this restaurant just for something quick and we were attracted from all the flovers that you can see from outside. The decorations and the bright colours that they used to decorate all the place, cauch your eye and make you distinguish this place from others. We really like theirs menu' you can taste different flavour: figs, mint, feta, lamb, melogran.. Etc. The way they prepare the food is authentic with all the spices typical of theirs country. We took couple of mezze and it was exactly what we want it. One of these mezze were filo pastry with cheese and the other one it was a fresh dip of aubergine with warm flatbread. It was delightful! Simple food but served with attention to details. I raccomend this place and I will go back here soon.

Tasty and healthy food. Although not good to my taste (I like spicy) but I can see that it was authentic food. Loved the service and food overall.

Great food, friendly attentive staff, fab cocktails and wine. We went on a Monday night and it was still busy.

Excellent meal in a very comfortable outside seating space, lovely service and we were able to take our extra food home! Thank you. Another fantastic visit. Indoors this time. Delightful service and food. The set up, allows you to feel you have your own space away from other customers.

The nicest staff ever, all of them were kind and helpful. Also very polite. The lamb kofta was delicious and the cherry and coconut cooler was divine. I would recommend and come here again.

Absolutely beautiful breakfast, I would never thought of putting hummus on a fry up but it works really really well. Nice coffee too, could have done with a bigger Cup. Overall very good food and pretty good value for money

Nice set up, very colourful and vibrant. Had the mix grill which was nice with side of couscous. Chips comes with a very garlicky dip, make sure you share or you will be the only one with bad breath for the rest of the day. Finding a table on a Saturday lunchtime with no booking was no issue. Beer on draught was also nice. Pic is of starter (I think it was lamb kofta)

Comptoir Libanais - Exeter Rating 4.3/5 Remember if you work for NHS you get a 25% discount I have been to this place too many times, and it never disappoints me * Mezze Platter for two - £21.95 : 8/10 * Mixed Grill - £16.50 : 9/10 * Spiced Chicken Kofta - £13.95 : 8/10 * Lamb and Halloumi burger - £13.50 : 8.5/10 * Spiced Chicken Man’ousha -£10.95 : 6/10 Starter -Mezze Platter for two A full flavour with pitta bread, hummus, cheese samboussek, quinoa tabbouleh, falafel etc., made my mouth watering even before I started eating it. The best piece of this art is the hot falafel. The mezze is sufficient enough for 5 people to share before having a heavy main Mains: Mixed Grill I tried the mixed grill as I always like a mix of chicken kofta, lamb kofta and chicken taouk, and it was full filing. The meat was cooked well with a juicy texture a full of flavour that dissolves in your mouth when you eat it. The rice did go well with the two sauces, but the salad was a bit bitter for me. I tried the other mains and found the lamb burger to be the next best thing that we ordered, where the burger was juicy, and the fries provided tasted fresh. The chicken kofta was nice too, but man’ousha was the least favourite, and the crust was slightly burned, and I didn’t feel it was value for money to order again. We also ordered a few beers; they were nice, but the fresh rose mint tea was disappointing. I wished the tea would have had a bit more minty taste! Overall the food was amazing, the ambience was fantastic and excellent customer service. Also, you can now download their app and get a £5.00 credit if you place an order through the app.

It's a gorgeous restaurant, appealing design and pretty decorated. Foods were delicious except the Falafel which were so dry and they didn't seem fresh. The only problem is the time gap between serving mezze and the main course is too much and makes you starve.
