Wow!!!! Having passed this restaurant many times over the years and now being dairy intolerant, I decided to treat the boyfriend to dinner. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was relaxed and the service was second to none. Fiona was attentive without being intrusive, incredibly warm and friendly and really made us feel most welcome. Compliments to the chef and all those working this evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant whether you are vegan or not. We shall return. X
Fantastic meal last night, always love Herbies � great atmosphere very friendly staff fantastic food. Vegan sticky toffee pudding with vegan custard was the perfect end to the meal �

I visited last year and had the best vegan pizza of my life. I returned a year to the day and had the same pizza - and again, it was delicious!! Thanks Herbies!

Words don't really do justice to what was a great evening of food. If there was one problem it was that everything looks and sounds great and we didn't know what to order. When we chose we weren't dissapointed.
We arrived without a reservation and a table was found for us without a problem. The service was great and we were looked after the correct amount. The food was amazing and we will definitely be visiting again soon to try more of the menu.

The staff are warm and friendly and the food is amazing. There is lots of choice from the main menu plus extras on the specials board.

We've just come back from a lovely evening in Herbies. My daughter's birthday meal. She's the vegetarian but carnivore parents found loads of tasty options. Delicious meal, great atmosphere. Thank you.
My favourite restaurant in Exeter. So good, with such a varied cuisine, that many non-vegetarians go there. I've found them generally somewhat cheaper, too, than other table-service restaurants that I've visited in Exeter. I have too many favourites to mention here, but their soups are a great feature, though naturally some are more 'favourite' for me than others. Their main courses range from moderate to large, and generally I find that I can happily skip an evening meal altogether after a soup and main course Herbie's lunch (and I'm an energetic type, so can burn a lot of calories). The main course dish I reserve for a very occasional treat is the Nachos Supreme - but I've learnt to ask for a half-size one (still with full-size side salad, which is substantial in itself) because it is so big and filling. If I ate with somebody it would be sensible to buy one full-size one and divide it between the two of us, though each having a separate side salad.
Have been going to Herbies for years and travelling from Bridgwater as it is my absolute favourite. Lovely atmosphere and staff and the food is wonderful,I am NEVER disappointed.Just had the most amazing Christmas meal ever.
We have been there loads of times and the food is always great as is the service and friendliness of everyone there. Varied menu with food from around the world and the specials are always great. Portions are generous so be sure to be hungry when you visit!
After years of meaning to check Herbies out, my husband and I made it for lunch over the half term. As far as service and atmosphere, this place is wonderful. We felt well taken care of without being hovered over and the restaurant itself is very cozy and in an easy to get to location. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, this is a good option. The food was good overall but we found aspects of the meal more on the bland side, especially the hummus. The focaccia was delicious and the star of the meal.
Absolutely in love with the food here. When i visit next to Exeter, this would be my go to place. I ordered the warm Salad from mains and fruit crumble desert served with custard! Most of the items on the menu are vegan. Good quantity, delicious food, cozy environment & friendly staff. A big recommendation for all food lovers
We came here tonight after a while wondering why we don't come here more often! It's amazing value for money for the incredible food and decent portions you receive. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing with lots to look at. You don't feel cramped or in a busy environment at all. We took so long deciding what to have as there were so many options. We will definitely be coming back to try more of the amazing menu and support the people that deserve it and not the big chain. Cannot fault our experience.
Really nice place. We went on a Wednesday and expected it to be quiet, but it was quite busy! A bit on the expensive side but great food and service. Nice for a treat.

I came for lunch with my husband and son. Our trip to Exeter was originally based on wanting to visit a local junk food place so this was a change of plan. I have heard of Herbies for years but never visited before. We will be back. We all loved what we ordered, the special summer pie , curry and pizza with milkshakes and smoothie. The portions were very generous. Good value for money, friendly staff and we didn’t wait long at all considering the restaurant was full.

Bubbly and chatty waitress, though had to wait a little while to order our desserts as it was quite busy.

Delicious! I had the Buddha bowl full of lots of different yummy things. Husband was very impressed with the smokey tofu BLT. And the kids were happy too - they actually have a kids menu. Wonderful!
