I come to Mr Eddy's regularly to meet up with friends. The food and service are always friendly and quick. This year, they started doing their Sunday roasts again, which I had a couple of weeks ago, and the portions and price are excellent and worth every penny. It is located outside of the gardens, so you do not need to pay to visit here.
Massive selection of cakes as well as hot food and sandwiches. Prices very reasonable especially given location. Food good quality with generous portions. Staff are super friendly and happy to help. Little cheeky robin made in in the cafe getting peoples crumbs off the floor. Ample seating in and out. Quiet in the mornings but a buzzy atmosphere at lunch. Can visit cafe without entrance to gardens. Will return and look forward to it.
Excellent lunch, though not a huge choice of dishes. Sensibly priced and generous portions. NB you can visit Mr Eddy's without paying to go into the gardens.
Average food, quite expensive. The staff were ok.
Very pleasant tea room, lots of outside seating to take in the view and reflect on the gardens. Prices were on the high side, but they have less trading hours than most other similar outlets. Staff were friendly and gave good service. Food was good quality and well presented.
Part of the gardens ,just mentioned, managed to provide a fast service for the visitors, plenty of room, staff are efficient and welcoming. Very good for families; food of good quality. Conviences are good and clean met a squirrel, who seem to be indignant at me, for disturbing its foraging activities.
You can use this cafe without needing to go into the Gardens. Good selection of lovely cakes. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A little bit more expensive than some other cafes in the area.
Delicious coffee, very clean and covid safe. There's plenty of seating inside and outside.
My only criticism is that the young women serving our coffee handled the cups at the rim where you have to drink from. A definite poor hygiene practice. I think they have a training issue.
I don't understand why they don't accept cash, it's card payments only.
We stopped in at Mr Eddie tea room for refreshments whilst visiting Exbury Gardens. And whilst everything we purchased was very enjoyable we did however have reservations over the prices that they're charging for some of their items. I mean is there really any reason why they should need to charge £5 for a hot Cornish pasty? Apart from profiteering the answer has to be no.
We had a snack and a drink there as part of our visit to Exbury Gardens. Motorway service station prices, but good quality.
Clean. Tables cleaned between customers. Bran burger & chips about £6.50. Chips about £3. But small cup of soup & a roll £5.50- which was a lot for what it was.
Top marks for a lovely quiche and salad. Visited after lunch time and was served quickly and tasted good and was fresh
Nice food after a long walk around the gardens ! Not too busy and COVID measures observed - made us feel safe , thank you
Awww I just loved everything about this place, not just a beautiful location...
Great foods and drinks (slightly pricey)
Warm and friendly service...
I'll be by again - I didn't get to try the homemade sausage rolls - they looked amazing!
