It was quite a busy night last night, we were table 41. Not only was the bar really busy but the carvery was too. The Staff handled every customer amazingly well even when dealt with some rather impatient and rude customers. We've always said the food at the Running Hare no matter how busy has always been worth the wait if it is busy.
My Fiancee is pregnant and we asked for seedless baps as pregnant people can't have that apparently. The lady on the bar went away to find out and came back to say yes absolutely this is fine and that they get that request a lot.
We could not have felt more accommodated and welcomed even under the pressure staff were on. They absolutely did the place and themselves a ton of credit. The food was steaming hot, fresh and tasted amazing. The price I felt was well worth the food we had was actually quite shocked at how low the price was.
I'd give it 4 stars for atmosphere but the way the staff handled funny customers just kept everything on a nice, peaceful and relaxing level. So I'll keep it at 5 on reflection of the staff.
We will be back again.
Had my nieces 20th birthday meal it was amazing. Big shout out to Hannah who worked behind the bar her customer service was brilliant 100% she was so lovely and helpful. Her friend I didn't get his name he brought the birthday cake over so you will know who I mean. What a great team the two of them were. The young waitress was also fantastic. Thanks so much will visit again soon 🤪
We came for the Halloween party. We had a fantastic time and all the staff looked amazing in their costumes. Hannah was amazing as usual making sure all the kids and parents had a great night. We can't wait to come back for children in need night.
It was very busy, Sunday tea time. It was good to see after what this industries been through the last few years. Good arrived promptly and I'm sure if the staff would have had time, they would have been very polite. Atmosphere for me was simply to busy, but that's just me. Food was bang on!! I've eaten here many times and this was by far the best. 🙂

I went for the carvery.
The roast potatoes were very rubbery/chewy I feel they have been cooked then left out too long.
Carrots a little to hard for me TBH but that could be personal preference.
Everything else was nice tbh.
I do feel the drink prices are very high too.
It is to be fair one of the major reasons me and my family tend to go elsewhere.
We booked a table for 8 and most of us had the carvery. Those that didn't were served their food quickly so we could all eat together. The carvery was fresh with a good selection of meats and veg. All food was delicious and great value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely return soon
This evening, 9th September, a group of 5 were booked for early evening Carvery.
Two more people wanted to join us, so when we arrived the member of staff who booked us in, added another table to accommodate us all.
So very helpful.
Food was excellent, very tasty, and very well cooked.
We were handed a card to enable us to leave a review, which stated that our server was Morgan.
Was that the young man who booked us in and accommodated us, the young man behind the bar who served our drinks, or the young man who carved to meat, and replenished all the vegetables etc?
Anyway, it was a very enjoyable evening.

Staff very good, had to queue at the door, it was very busy. Could do with extra staff on door and bar busy periods.
Carvery was very nice, the chef carving was very pleasant, considering how busy he was.
I didnt leave a tip, as I thought I had only just walked in and paid, and the only service I received was from the gentleman on the door.

Fab and friendly service from Mac. Got involved with myself and my 2 friends. Great to see and makes a difference. Nice to also have 2 floor staff check in our meals we're good.
Came in just after opening and were cheerfully greeted by the lady behind the bar. There's a very good selection of draught beers as well as the usual lagers.
After choosing our table we went with breaded mushrooms and a tomato soup for our starters. The breaded mushrooms were an ample portion served with a delicious garlic dip and the tomato soup with half baguette was so tasty.
Mains were gammon and the mixed grill. The steak was cooked exactly as requested and both dishes were more than worth the price. On the gammon dish some things on it were omitted by us and so we were offered a salad side instead.
Staff were attentive without being intrusive and always extremely friendly and needless to say we might pop back in soon!
