I had fish and chip special with mushy peas and curry sauce I havnt had them for a while been dieting but I ate every bit the fish was absolutely lovely nice batter crispy and the chips were the best.I won't leave it so long
Excellent customer service, all staff members are polite and friendly. I have always had delicious, freshly prepared food. The best chip shop in town. Highly recommended by myself and all my friends and family who have eaten from Hampton Chippy!

had delicious fish and chips and even tried the jojos -no complaints at all .
However couple of suggestions-being a northerner -do you have buttered cobs/barm cakes .
Also as someone in their mid sixteys we did find the amount of chips about 50% too much -older people do eat less and seems a shame to waste them.
On a different note I am diabetic so need to watch salt intake ,i know they ask but how do we ensure we dont get too much salt -all chippys douse them in salt so dint kn ow what guidelines the fish fryers assocition recommended

The gluten free night was brilliant last time and it was just as good tonight. Honestly the curry sauce is fantastic, the best I've ever tasted. The batter is lovely, it's light and tasty and my non GF husband loves it too. Can't wait for another GF night ☺️
Best fish & chips in town, lovely crisp batter, beautiful flavoured cod and good sized portions for those with a healthy appetite. There's usually a queue on Fridays/Saturdays as they're very popular so allow time but we'll worth the wait. I did almost knock a star off though as when I got home on Friday I only had 1 portion of chips instead of 2 but that's unusual and they were exceptionally busy so that would've been mean! Keep up the good work guys/girls, you've got it right

Fish is really lovely but chips are a variable, sometimes good others not so much. Hoping it's just the current situation and things will become back on the high standard, we've been told to expect from Hampton Chippy.

Was pleasantly surprised by their well thought out, contactless service. Order and payment was made through the door and our food and drink was given through a hinged hatch. Food was great as usual. Will definitely be coming here again.
Not on our way to or from home so we have to make a conscious effort to go here, but it's worth it. Always great service and good standard of food. Only slight issue is they close quite early, which is understandable given the location isn't on a high street in the middle of town, but it also means food is cooked to order after 8.30 which can mean if your late home from work you will be a bit later waiting for the food. But it's understandable and we'd visit more often if the location was on the way home ;-)
Well am staying and working in the area and this place has just reopened after lockdown so as I don't know my way around I've given it ago . 1st I was really impressed with the way there doing it though the door ' the staff were friendly and polite and my tea of battered sausage and chips was excellent. Will definitely be going back again most of the week. 😀

Great chippy, quality food always cooking fresh food.we,ve used Hampton chippy since it opened & it's one of the top notch places for fish & chips,kebabs are the best in the country.ive wanted at many chippies & Hampton is spot on for quality assurance, quantity grub. cleanliness & always happy to help.
Down from Wales visiting family... Fancied a chip supper and as we have been disappointed by other chip shops and kebab shops in area thought we would give Hampton Chippy a try... So glad we did.. I couldn't finish the kebab as so big... Fish was excellent crispy batter and large flakes of cod... To many chips and the dogs loved the sausage... Excellent service great prices 10 out of 10 definitely recommend and will use again when in area
