Only some words to recommend everyone this pub. The meal was really great, the atmosphere was also really nice, but the best thing I can say is about the staff, really really kind. We enjoyed a lovely lunch, and even my mother-in-law (and this is really important) did it. Congratulations to the staff.

We were recommended to come here for a meal from a fellow boater that frequents The George Inn every time they pass through. I can highly recommend other people to go to. We had a great meal, all the staff were knowledgable of the menu, welcoming and friendly. Real Ale for the lads and dog friendly. They found out it was my birthday and came out with one of their deserts with a candle on singing happy birthday. We were also the last to leave, at no time did we feel we had to go. A special thank you to Jade who served us for the evening.

Great place, close to the famous Eton school on one side and the gorgeous town of Windsor, with The grand Windsor castle on the other. The George offers 8 fine hotelrooms over a nice, old, lively pub with nice staff and great food. They do a wonderful breakfast too and there's a spacious beergarden and an outbuilding where you can enjoy your separate parties all by yourselves as well. Parking can easily be done two blocks down from the building for £ 10 per day.

Our stay at the George Inn was great. Jeff, the manager, couldn't be more accommodating. He changed credit cards for us so we could pay on a different card than the one used to book the room. The room was quaint, food was delicious and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Jeff's daughter Darcy made the last breakfast even more enjoyable. The location of the George Inn is ideal - just over the bridge from Windsor Castle and lots of eateries and shops. On the other side is the beautiful town of Eton with quaint buildings and cobblestone streets and alleyways. I highly recommend staying at the George Inn if your travels take you to Windsor, Eton or the nearby area.

Terrific place. Stayed there Tuesday night and really enjoyed it. My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer. The staff were very nice and helpful. If I am ever in Eton again, I'll be staying at The George Inn.

Great food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. And not always one can eat in a pub frequented by Shakespeare and Dickens!!!

Love it here. Really tastefully decorated with a nod to days long gone. Great food; nicer than pub food but not too fancy and decently priced. And the beer? Well it is WEBrew so it speaks for itself!! 😊🍺

We arrived after the restaurant was closed so we did not get to try the food. However, the staff was really helpful and called a cab for us for the morning. Room was great and location was really nice! Wish we could have stayed longer.

This was a must as far as a lodging and dining selection. Alice and Finn were great and took great care of us. Nearby the iconic Windsor and with a great outside venue and a classic pub inside. Beautiful! Thank you!

The George is a fabulous, convivial pub with friendly helpful staff. We stayed overnight in one of their rooms and ate supper downstairs Teri nights in a row. The salad nicoise is excellent. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Room was good. I was in the boat? room. The hotel staff carried my bag up the stairs which was nice. I think guests should be warned to shut the window by dusk. When I got there the window was open so I left it. Then a few hours later I look up and there are hundreds of mosquitos on the ceiling. Which reminded me of the creek down the road. So yeah, that was fun. I didn't have that issue at other hotels leaving windows open so not sure if it's just a very mosquito-y area. I also ate down at the pub and it was alright. I got the steak and ale pie and it tasted like something frozen that's just heated up but it was edible. The pub is very quaint and old, so picturesque. I'm glad I stayed in Eton and not Windsor. Windsor was very busy but as soon as you cross the river it was way calmer in Eton.

Great atmosphere, but had run out of most of their food options by 8pm, so had to move on for dinner. It was a very hot day, and they were probably packed out, will try them again for sure.

The George Inn is located on the corner of Brocas Street on the north side of the river in Windsor. In the summer time this is a busy and vibrant pub. Lots of outdoor seating. A good selection of beers and the food is pretty good.

Lovely evening with great food and not expensive. Service exemplary. We were even treated to Morris Dancers outside and some musicians came in and started to play. It was dad's birthday so great memories.

Great pub but so busy due to its prime spot next to the Eton bridge. Food was great but took a while. Not the pub's fault. It was just queued heavily at the bar. Some unusual choices on draught, but Conquerer was actually quite pleasant to drink. We reserved a table in advance. Just as well. Most other tables had been reserved too.

Great Pub, excellent selection of WEBREW beers and many more. Good food and a really, really good outside garden / terrace area. Being a local I haven't stayed overnight but have been told that it is good value.

Quickly becoming our favourite pub 🍻 Great beer selection from the Windsor and Eton brewery, super friendly staff, nice location. Still have to try the food, but I'm sure it's just as amazing as everything else 😊
