Our grandson took us to the Woolpack yesterday, where we had a delicious meal and a drink the service and food was great, I even went behind the bar to have a picture done pulling a pint while looking at a picture of Alan Turner one of the older bar tenders, all in all a nice time was had by all.

Popped in yesterday (Saturday) on the way to our Emmerdale Studio tour weekend, & the land lady allowed us to have our photo taken behind the bar, & kindly gave us a couple if souvenir beermats. So popped in again today on the way home for a bit of lunch. I had the best turkey, stuffing & cranberry sandwich & O/H had roast beef & sticky onion sandwich, both served with best chunkiest chips ever tasted! They were more like roasties. The warm friendly welcome we received from the landlord was fabulous, as was all the staff. We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the excellent hospitality, but the snow started to come thick & fast & we had a long journey home. Shall definitely be visiting again 👍🏻

Visited on the 1st November 2017, Lovely friendly bar staff, made us feel very welcome, gorgeous proper pub food with a huge portion and was served with a smile, nothing was too much trouble for all the staff, wonderful cosy and homely atmosphere, will definitely visit again, everyone made us feel like family, well done all of you, my dog especially enjoyed her doggy bag of leftover sausages, she says woof (thank-you)

l spent a few days camping with my dog holly in Esholt, we visited the Woolpack and found warm, friendly and welcoming staff, they where helpful and courteous, I cannot understand negative comments about the staff who went out of their way to accommodate the requests from people to have a photograph taken behind the bar, in particular when a group of people with learning disabilities visited, it was lovely to see the staff helping, nothing seemed to much trouble, maybe some people who visit the pub should look closely at their own attitudes.

A bit of an unusual post but I had my wedding meal at the Woolpack. Long story but to cut it short, I had the most amazing afternoon with 35 of my close family and friends. I cannot thank Gilly, her son and all the staff enough as they went out of their way to make our day special. The food was delicious and the alcohol flowed freely; perfect.

Went for an early surprise 60th birthday lunch and from the moment you entered the pub we were greeted with such warm hospitality from all members of staff, James the proprietor came over and chatted to us more than once making us feel like old friends even though we had never met! Dave who was volunteering that day straight away was very welcoming and served our food which was scrumptious with a friendly smile and again made you feel relaxed. Thank you for making my 60th surprise lunch feel so special xx

Rang ahead to book a meal and asked if we could stay over in their car park in our campervan, wasn't a problem. Had a lovely meal, there was live music and the atmosphere was terrific. Very quiet and peaceful nights sleep. Staff were amazing, so friendly and had us in stitches. Had a fantastic night. Thank you Woolpack 😁

Had a beautiful walk out to this pub, has a little history behind it, it used to be the location to film emmerdale scenes back in the late 80s early 90s before it was mived location, food and drink are served from 12pm and I must say the quiche on the specials board was fantastic l, and very reasonable on price too, definitely be back for another visit

5* Pub, Dog Friendly, Log Burners, What more can you ask for? Large Forrest located directly behind the pub to walk the dog, run or mountain bike👌. Call in advance to check if food is served if you aim to eat. My dog loves it that much I struggle to get him to leave!

We visited this place as fans of Emmerdale. Be careful if Google ng it for directions that you actually put the pub name in and not Esholt on its own
