Came here for a friend’s birthday for cocktails and dinner and really enjoyed it. We arrived just after happy hour had finished but had called ahead and Ajay very kindly extended the offer for us to enjoy some of the fab Margaritas. Food was amazing (we chose mostly from the Indian selection). Ajay was a friendly and hospitable host and we will be back to try a few more dishes and cocktails!
Ajay and all the team were absolutely amazing from start to finish and couldn't of been more accommodating. I booked a table/area for my friends birthday, there was 12 of us and we were well looked after. Cocktails were amazing, Dj was brilliant, atmosphere great. Definitely coming back to try the food. Thank you again for everything.
I went to this restaurant for the first time last night, and initially it was great. Waiters/Waitresses were very friendly and one of the guys was very funny. I ordered the Mai Tai cocktail which was absolutely fantastic and the wine was apparently great as well. Starters arrived, genuinely some of the best Indian/Chinese starters I’ve had in a while - my only complaint with this place was honestly the mains; we had the chilli chicken, and ordered two of the other stir fries. The food was nice, but far too sweet. All 4 dishes we felt had been sweetened too much, which while it didn’t bother me and my brother too much, really put my parents off (who I came with). Overall, lovely place which despite having a big menu does have good food, a good atmosphere and good staff. The main food just needs to be less sweet. Thanks for a great night
As of the previous review left I can say that is complete rubbish. I was on a night out with the company I work with for a summer works do. I go to the pounding heart quite a lot in my own time and messaged a doormen I know there 30 minutes before arriving explaining one colleague had a service dog ( in training) and would it be possible to have him join us and have an area closed for us to enjoy the night all together. The doormen arranged this with management and we was very greatful as they allowed us in an area that would normally be closed at 11pm which we was allowed to stay in until 1am. We was treated like royalty. Staff was amazing and accommodating even though his dog wasn’t being particularly well behaved. In my opinion there is nothing more the establishment could have done for us to have an amazing night.
Many thanks, Jack Laxton
New opening on Esher High street. Fantastic selection of pan Asian cuisine, cooked perfectly and served with a smile. The house special; salt & pepper quod was a highlight, as were the chicken lollipops. Excellent drinks including world beers, wines and hand made cocktails. Looking forward to many more visits
This is for the food as I have not been to the restaurant. I own an events company and so I am very particular about food. I also was quite sceptical about the Chinese/indian mix but I couldn't be more wrong. The Indian currys were very flavoursome and "clean" ie not swimming in oil. The dips and accompaniments were great - Rice Perfection and the Chinese elements lovely. If you cant work out if you want Chinese or Indian takeaway , want authentic and tasty food then this is the takeaway for you. oh and ps: it was hot as in piping hot food even though it came from deliveroo 10mins away and we all know that is some feat!
Myself and my husband ate here last night for the first time and it was amazing, the food was excellent and the staff were lovely especially Nash very friendly, we felt really relaxed to enjoy a lovely meal will definitely be going back
Wonderful Cocktail Bar. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Staff is very profession and welcoming form the moment you walking into the door. The cocktails are spot on, one of the best I ever had in London. Defiantly be back.
Great venue. Fabulous waiting staff. Sensible and friendly security staff. I attended a 30th birthday party and we had cocktails and a chinese set menu. Food was an abundant feast and top quality, certainly in keeping with other restaurants/venues in Esher who are well known for their good reputation. The set menu was £39 per person and I thought that was very good value given the quality of the food, service and venue.
I highly recommend you visit.
We had a super evening, the food was delicious and the cocktails are fabulous. Ajay is great and I am really looking forward to going again soon, highly recommend.
Popped in for a meal with a friend on a Tuesday.
Lovely food cooked really well and full of flavour, very gratious and helpful host to help us choose the best things in the menu.
You could see that on a Friday or Saturday night it was set up to be a great place for a social drink or dinner.
We will be back. Chris and John.
Went in normally. Ordered a redbull with no ice. Staff very friendly, service is phenominal. Will certainly return. Would 150% reccomend to anyone who wants food and drinks. One of the best places in esher for food, drinks, and reunions. Love it.
Really tasty food and friendly staff.
We popped in before the cinema and were pleasantly surprised.
There was a great selection of food on the menu. I can highly recommend the wasabi prawns

Had a great night with the family for my daughter’s birthday. Great quality asian fusion food, very fresh tasting curries and good cocktails! It was also to party and dance there after your meal with the resident DJ. Thanks to all the team at Pounding Heart for looking after us.
Great food full of flavour. Very good selection of Gluten free and all allergens shown against every dish. Very friendly staff, we'll definitely be coming back soon
Lovely service, staff are lovely and friendly and the place looks really well maintained and decorated, will certainly come again!
