From the moment you walk in you're greeted as if you were family with warm smiles and genuine kindness. Because the restaurant caters for around eight tables, the parking to the side of the restaurant has more than enough space to cater for guests. There are two dining areas, both of which are intimate and beautifully presented. The entire staff are family and it really shines through as there is a level of detail desire to ensure that your visit is one to remember and they really did not fail to deliver. The set menu is so well thought out and each dish compliments the next with some quite incredible taste sensations to be had. The beef fillet was fantastic but for me, the Ramsbury vodka cured salmon with cucumber sorbet was just stunning. With fine dining as good as this it won't be long until the dad/son chef partnership are seriously considered for a Michelin star because having dined at several Michelin star restaurants the Chandlers Arms are definitely on par. We spent three hours savouring every dish and the intimate ambience and we will be returning again very soon and will be bringing the parents with us so they can enjoy the experience as much as we did. Well done on creating a wonderful dining experience with a genuine approach to hospitality that comes with warm smiles and acute attention to detail. Thank you and see you again soon.
Thank you to all the staff for an absolutely outstanding Sunday lunch. We thought the set menu was great idea (local produce and reducing waste etc), the food - wow!! delicious!! and the service was fantastic too. This was the first time we’ve visited but we’ll certainly be back and be sure to recommend The Chandlers Arms to our friends.
I cannot rate this lovely place highly enough! The food was impeccable, the service was so friendly and the atmosphere was just perfect. My partner even got a mini birthday sparkler, after we had off the cuff mentioned why we were there.

We live locally & although we’d heard good things on the local grapevine, didn’t realise what a transformation has taken place under the new owners.
Stunning food, beautifully presented, but a lovely informal atmosphere.
In the evenings it’s a tasting menu - 5 courses I think (lost count!) plus amuses bouches - which is really good value given the quality of the food. Lovely wine list too.
Exceptional place with lovely staff that deserves to do well.

5 of us walked from our village to the Chandlers Arms in Epwell and back last night. We had the 4 course set menu meal which was absolutely incredible. Everything was beautifully thought through and absolutely delicious. A very memorable dining experience. We are so feeling so lucky to have such a special place so close to home. Lovely food. Fixed menu (unless you make arrangements beforehand). A substantial tasting menu with as good food as you will find anywhere locally.
We’ve had the absolute pleasure to dine at “The Chandlers” several times over the past few months, and it’s hard to put into words how exceptional this restaurant is.
It’s a family owned and run restaurant.
The service is impeccable and the food phenomenal, with a friendly warm atmosphere.
It’s truly fine dining in a lovely quiet village.
