I love libraries. You never know what you might find to read. Epsom branch is well laid out offering free use of computers as a library member, small charge for printing òccasional documents. Lots of areas to spend time reading in comfort. Good coffee shop just outside too

Pros: U can have library card without any fees or subscription, have few PC for library card holders, quiet environment, child corner, disability access, nice and friendly assistance. Cons: PC s are restricted for 2 hours a day. Book collection is very low based on subject coverage and volume.

The liabary is Excellent kind staff and lovely people However it can be a bit noisy and that's not good for studying and Thiers no need for the noise either and I'm talking about adults not children Based on the noise I don't think it's a good place to study

It was a rainy August day when we visited (2022). There was nothing for children except books, i.e., no toys, animals, or colouring opportunities as we have seen in other libraries, both in Surrey and in Hampshire. All the children's tables were occupied so we couldn't sit and read to our little granddaughter. The library seemed to have a good selection of books. The attached photo was taken looking in from the café next door.

I have been a member since I moved to Epsom in 2001. It has been computerised now, so you check your books out and check them in when you return them. There are library staff around if you need help. There is a shop where you can buy books, children's area where there is story telling, computer terminals and you can print stuff if you need to. There is an information desk outside of the library , information stands and places to sit if you fancy a coffee and/oe something to eat from the cafe next door, I tend to have the cheese omelette, which comes with salad and chips and is very filling.

Excellent library. It makes me laugh how many people are complaining about the noise from children. A library is a family environment - a free one. The notion that libraries are silent is extremely outdated.

Now reopened after Covid19 lockdown. The returned books are quarantined, and you sanitise your hands. Friendly assistants will help you locate books. Adjacent cafe not open.

Can easily revise or get work done. Doesn’t help with the screaming children though.
