Just got back from our first Grumpy Mole experience and happy to say it probably won't be our last. Staff were friendly, the pub has a pleasant atmosphere and offers a reasonable selection of drinks. I (42, male) was with my two elderly parents and we had two roasts and the lamb from the menu. Food was good. Chicken was a little dry and some potatoes were too big (prefer smaller and crispier), but we all enjoyed our mains. For dessert we had date and ginger pudding which was very nice, an apple strudel that we felt was a bit overpowered by the orange and a mini chocolate brownie which was just right. Clean, pleasant and somewhere I would consider going again and recommend to others in the area.

Several of us enjoyed the Sunday roast and the little one with us enjoyed the kids menu. I had the Mediterranean Mezzanine platter - nice presentation and flavors.

the food was amazing, we did have quite a long wait for our food. But was offered a complimentary drink which eased the stress. Great venue and friendly staff with excellent quality food.

Excellent all round. Well worth a visit. Good food, good service and a pleasant bar, dining room and gardens. We will be back to try the afternoon tea next, which looked very inviting. Well done Grumpy Mole.

Nice afternoon tea. Good bits - nice sandwiches (great coronation chicken!), good scones, lovely fresh strawberries, great staff, lovely house prosecco. Bad bits - There were some mini muffins which we thought weren't homemade, I don't like fruit scones much, and there were no plain ones, the other sweet offerings either didn't taste like much or were nutty. Macarons were nice! Good price

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at this Epsom Grumpy Mole, with friendly and efficient service. We have eaten at several other Grumpy Moles and in terms of the food quality this one was slightly under par. My husband's stone for his steak wasn't as hot as it could have been, so he struggled to "cook" his steak to his liking. My liver wasn't as tender as I have had at other venues, but that may be due to the luck of the draw rather than the quality of cooking. We certainly enjoyed our meals though, and my side vegetables were absolutely delicious. Regarding wine, I wouldn't recommend the House Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, it tastes really cheap and metallic. It's very cosy inside, we actually sat in the bar area rather than the restaurant part, as we wanted a more informal experience. There are very few parking spaces available, so expect to park on the road outside. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue, as well as good food and service, it has a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Grumpy Mole's steak and ale pie is a firm favourite of my teenage son - and its quality never lets him down. The fish pie and moules mariniere is also delicious. The staff are really friendly and the dining room is always calm and peaceful.

Love this place! Go here fairly regularly (say once a quarter) - staff are always lovely and accommodating, food is always beautiful (the pate is very tasty and I haven’t had a bad main there yet!). Steak on the stone and the pies are my favourites, last time I had the Sri Lanken chicken curry and although tasty enough I wouldn’t have again as felt quite basic. Can’t tear myself away from the berries and meringue dessert it’s the perfect amount to finish off the evening. There’s a nice outdoor area as well which I have enjoyed in the summer.

Great place with delicious food. Fantastic service, very friendly team. You can get best traditional English food in the area. Don’t hesitate and jump for a drink and something to it there :)

Had a delicious lunch here today. The staff were friendly and helpful. They were also accommodating towards our dog and gave him treats and water. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place, we had a great time.
