What a great find. Good food and coffee. Fun themed setting. Will be back in better weather!
Without doubt the Apple Crumble was truly fantastic. The Victoria sponges was awesome too. Great views of the airfield and well worth a visit.
Great on a sunny day when there is air activity. Good basic menu and plenty of seating to allow viewing of the taxiway and runway. Great atmospheric recreation of a WWII NAFFI and / or Squadron readiness room. Loads of interesting aviation photos on the walls.
Still very new and they are getting their, good food
Lovely place , to relax & talk with family or friends, and have a slice of cake or two
Another thoroughly enjoyable visit to Rosey Leas at the Squadron .Delicious carrot cake.
Went for a private trip to the North Weald Aerodrome. An excellent day out. We had a buffet arrange, food very good, hot and fresh. They are famous for their 'doorstep' sandwiches, made with the freshest crunchiest bread you have tasted for a long time. Friendly service, they do get busy as they are home to the helicopters of the Ambulance Service and of course other visitors and people flying in.
Very good cafe and open to all whether you fly or drive in. Beware though that they close at 1500 and do not like food orders after 1430. Had an unfortunate visit last year in the height of the heatwave, arrived by air at 1445 and the unhelpful assistant wouldn't even give me a drink of water! One and only time I've had a problem and pleased to say that I haven't seen her since!
Great place on the airfield to grab a bite, it's *all* the way round the inner airfield perimeter road so keep the faith and beware the flight paths. Pub/cafe food, good portions. It's not posh but has tons of character, relaxed place.
A Superb atmosphere that seeps in most welcolmly ... another visit in April is a Must Must Must
Decent breakfast here in unusual surroundings. I couldn't have the option that I wanted, I think they had run out of some of the ingredients, but that just shows how popular this place is. I'm not sure I could find it if I'd not been taken but once you are on the airfield, just follow the perimeter round anti clockwise almost all of the way round.
Excellent find by the family, well worth a visit and we all enjoyed the family breakfast.
Well done Fay & Jay for the experience xx
Great history at n.weald airardro
