As always a great meal, I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone. The chicken supreme had a twist and was not what I expected but it was delicious.
Great food great staff highly recommend. Ring to book a table you won’t be disappointed 🔥
Celebrated our sons 30th birthday in the boot room. Had a magnificent meal. Service was tremendous, staff very attentive, without being intrusive. Our 1st visit definately not our last.
Not been here for nearly 10 years. What a transformation!! Lovely, friendly village pub with excellent food. The dog loved it too with dog treats and water laid out for him. We'll be back.
We went last night with some friends who'd recommended The Cross Keys, when we arrived the chef was in the dining area, he along with the front of house staff gave us a very nice friendly welcome. After a few minuets we were taken to our table, the dining area is really cosy with it's log burner and the whole place had a lovely feel to it. As for the food, if i thought the surroundings were good, the food was absolutely delicious, I had Haddock Goujons ( light crispy and very tasty) followed by Slow roasted belly pork (I could just eat it again now!) and to finish, I had the best bread and butter pudding I have ever tasted. I can see why our friends keep going back, and in the new year we will be re-visiting the Cross Keys a few times too. I would like to thank all the staff at The Cross Keys for a truly great evening, and wish them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Couldn't thank you enough have a family of 15 dine with you. The booking was stress free and staff couldn't have been any more lovely or helpful. The food was beautiful! Thank you again, we shall be back!
Lovely country pub, amazing food and great service! Highly recommended!!
We visited recently again, this time with some friends who had not visited before. As always the food was fab, atmosphere was great, and service brilliant! Friends were very impressed and all will return again! Thank you!
Had a fantastic Anniversay Party at The Cross Keys Pub Epperstone. Amazing food, great entertainment and the the best hosts (landlord & Landlady) this village has had in the last 20 years. We all appreciate everything you do and hope for many more years of your great service and contribution to our lovely village. Xxx
What a find!. Great food , wonderful service and very friendly staff. I will definitely be going back.
Really lovely Sunday lunch, food was amazing, great service too, highly recommended!
Thank you so much for today for hosting our daughters 1st Birthday meal for family and for letting us take over the boot room for the friends that joined us afterwards.
Sarah was incredible and looked after us very well indeed. Nothing was too much trouble at all. We hope the staff enjoyed the cake we left for them #perksofthejob
Food was amazing as usual and Hubby and friends loved the Epperstone Pale Ale so will defo be back for some more of that. See you soon. Thanks again so so very much. A very very happy ‘Gage’ family.
Ps Little Remy is so cute and my little girl was besotted - don’t tell the pooch at home.
Second time we have been . We love it excellent menu, fantastic service, love the log burner and good value whats not too love.
Lunch fit for a queen.
Well, us two anyway 🤣
For those who don't know, Head chef Des Sweeney once worked as a chef for the Queen. He has also worked at the House of Lords and on the QE2.
Located in the village of Epperstone.
You can't miss the pub as there's a taxi outside, which looks like it's retired.
For lunch, there's a specials board to select from two courses £18.95.
Or an A la carte.
We chose
Starters
Chorizo croquettes (off the specials)
Tempura King Prawns £7.25
Mains
Chicken Supreme £12.95
Venison Haunch Steak £15.95
Served with a selection of veg.
Side order of Parmesan chunky chips
Dessert to share.
Bread and butter pudding £6.95
The food is all cooked fresh to order.
And served the traditional way with the veg on the side.
Good home cooked food.
Our server Sarah was an absolute.

Absolutely brilliant pub! Very warm welcome from the ladies and great food. Best Sunday roast “out” I’ve had in years. My roast beef was delicious. Huge portion and really nice veg with it. Poached pear was superb! Tidy and clean throughout and clean civilised loos too. Highly recommended!
Excellent quality food (the slow roasted pork belly was magnificent and the blueberry and lemon crème brûlée outstanding!), service friendly and efficient, sensible pricing.....I'll go again!
What a beautiful pub in a picture book village. Roast Beef Sunday dinner was lovely. Attentive staff couldn’t do enough for the customers. 5 stars
As you walk in, you see the different awards won proudly displayed on the fence but until you are inside enjoying and experiencing the hospitality of the amazing staff and the warmth of the place that you realise how great a place this pub is. Truly a country pub and would give it a 5 star rating any time. What came out of the kitchen was quite impressive. They do not have children menu but are very flexible to work magic to accommodate children. We had a lovely family time out and would highly recommend.
Went with my wife and a couple of friends of ours for the wife's birthday. Lovely staff with an at ease feel but with the food and place being a cut above the norm.
Had read so much about the belly of pork but they had ran out so ended up with a pork steak which was still impressive along with a mustard sauce. I particularly liked the sauteed potatoes that accompanied it. With drinks and 3 courses it was a touch over £30 per head which we all agreed was good value with the quality of the food.
Would certainly like to visit again.
Visited here a few weeks ago with some friends for Sunday lunch. Service was fast and the staff were friendly. We all had a starter and main course with a few of us saving room for dessert too. The food was tasty, with the highlight being that Sunday roast and giant Yorkshire pudding! I'd definitely recommend this place to others.
Excellent food and excellent waitresses. The biggest Yorkshire pudding in history. They also cater for people with intolerances. They also did dairy free gravy and veg with no butter on.
My husband and I visited this place for the first time for lunch. It won't be the last. The service and food was outstanding. Good quality and delicious
Great food, strongly recommend. Will definitely be back. Steak, and the Belly pork are delicious.
Beautiful food and drinks in a lovely setting. Had a lovely evening. Wasn't very busy which was a surprise. Would hight recommend.
Very friendly staff, great service and delicious food, competively priced. Will definitely return!
Couldn't fault this pub, lovely staff who were very helpful and the food was lovely, the Sunday dinner was delicious 10/10 and the ice cream was lovely, well worth the money, highly recommend going to this pub.

We went there for a lunch. Instead of sitting inside we decided to sit outside, overlooking garden and roaming chickens.
The food was lovely presented and very tasty. It's prepared from fresh ingredients so the menu changes every day.
It's a dog friendly pub but they must be on a leash because of wandering chickens.
Roasts are huge, ales selection is a bit limited but good.
Fair few Tory Faithfull hanging about though.
Had a snack and shared a Jug of Pims after an Equine Competition held over the road. Lovely afternoon in the sunshine!
Amazing crab salad and brilliant service too. A real gem for foodies and set in the prettiest village in Nottinghamshire.
