Stopped by a few minutes before closing on our Coast to Coast walk, and they were kind enough to make us a lovely cup of tea and cake which we enjoyed while the staff cleaned up. They’d clearly had a busy day so we were most appreciative of their kindness.

Called in for a coffee on the way back from walking the dogs in Ennerdale. Coffee led to a sausage sandwich, followed by another coffee with scone, jam & cream! Great to meet some of the friendly and welcoming staff at The Gather. Great atmosphere and home made food! Will be back!

Arrived at The Gather soaking wet and freezing cold at the end of leg one of the Coast to Coast. The Gather staff were amazing, helping us with towels, bin liners to sit on (we didn't want to soak the chairs) and letting us put our dripping kit in their staff corridor. Homemade hot soup and bacon rolls and the best cup of tea I've ever tasted made us want to stay permanently! As my husband said "the only thing warmer than the tea, was the welcome." Thank you, wonderful people!

Possibly the friendliest cafe in the world. Walked in with muddy boots to smiles, delicious soup and excellent coffee. Great little place.

Excellent value coffee and cake. Very friendly & welcoming. Spotless loo. Very happy to recommend. I erroneously only gave it 3 when I intended to score it 5. It is most definitely worth a 5! Sorry for my error!

We stopped here today for a drink and cake. My coffee was really good; I like it strong and they went out of their way to ensure it was just right. My husband’s hot chocolate was also excellent. The cakes were all home-made and tasted wonderful. The staff were really friendly and we felt very comfortable sitting looking at the lovely views and chatting. We will certainly be visiting the Gather Cafe again.

The Gather is a proper little gem, an ideal place to stop for tea & cake (or sausage sandwiches), especially for cyclists out on a tour. It's also a great place if you need easy access as the car park & cafe are all on one level. Love our visits to the Gather

We were looking forward to visiting The Gather Cafe since St Bees, and we were not disappointed. Great atmosphere, delicious food, yummy cheesecake, and perfect lattes! It would be an absolute pity if this brilliant place was forced to close...

Beautiful food in a beautiful location. Amazing bacon. Wheelchair accessible Toilet. Takes card and cash payment. Little local crafts/produce like jam for sale too. Only a few parking spaces though.

Lovely small cafe based at Ennerdale Bridge. Very relaxed atmosphere with sofas and table sizes to cater for different sized groups if needed. The cafe has a good range of cakes, drinks, and lunch options, mainly paninis and sandwiches. They also do a small range of local foods, and Lakes merchandise, books, herdy, and souvenirs. Prices were all good. Parking for about 8 cars out front. Two benches around the back of the cafe if you wish to sit outside.

Loved this place. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bacon and egg breakfast sandwich in a soft roll was delicious. Powered me through the next 30miles of my ride.

Simple nice food at reasonable price. Sadly got my order wrong first time round. Only an apology rather than say a free drink.

What a welcome sight as we walked into Ennerdale! After a full morning of walking the C2C, this little shop provided us the most tasty late lunch. We were incredibly hungry and ended up going back to order several more items as they were all so good! We ate soup, savory scones, regular scones, a bacon and brie panini, a bacon and avocado sammie, a pot of tea and an Americano. Truly everything was amazing! Stop here if you get the chance.

Lovely cafe with very friendly staff, great selection of sandwiches and cakes and nice coffee. A cute little shop too to pick up small Lake District goodies and even some stuff for cyclists to keep their bikes running well. Thank you and keep up the good work
