Thank you too all the staff, management and a particular special thank you for Annie Hoy. My husband and I recently had our wedding reception here on the 11th January. Annie managed the event seamlessly, the staff were superb and exceptionally attentive to our guests. The food was sublime and had been made gluten free on request, i couldn't fault the fresh baked gluten free bread, the lemon tart AND the sticky toffee pudding! The guests are still commenting on the quality of the food. We had a wonderful reception that was made so relaxed and easy due to the staff at this venue. I would recommend having any special event here in a heart beat, we can't wait to come back here again. Thank you all from the new Mr and Mrs McCormack

I have had a few meals here with my partner and friends, I would highly recommend it, the staff are very welcoming and nothing is to much trouble for them, they have a great Gin menu which went down really well, we had Sunday lunch there yesterday and the lamb was superb, will definitely be going back for another one

We took our first ever minibus trip out today from our brand new home Ascot Grange. It was quite a landmark for us going on our first outing however the staff were so welcoming and helpful - you would be surprised at how many places do not give you that welcome when trying to take residents out. Beautiful pub and location too, we had the best time. Thank you so much for your help! Will recommend to anyone

Possibly my new favourite country pub! Hugely dog friendly and there's even a place to park your horse! We enjoyed the pub menu which had a great variety of staple faves and sandwiches as well as some posh nosh such as Camembert and Moules marinier. Great service and thanks for setting up my mums birthday surprise!!!

Popped in today, for fish and chips and a couple of pints, after a long and sweaty walk around Windsor Great Park and Virginia Waters. We had really well cooked fish, super chips, mushy peas and a few pints of the Fox Bitter ale. Wonderful! Thank you. I shall be back.

Superb coffee. Pleasant staff good food. Lovely location what more do you need? Only been here for morning coffee and lunch but would expect the ' pub vibe' is pretty good too as there are so many people using this place for all sorts of reasons. A great feeling of community here.

A lovely atmosphere, excellent service - they really couldn't do enough for us and the food was fabulous! and yes that mango sorbet certainly does have a kick in it! Ticks my box especially being dog and horse friendly! - Highly recommend

Great place to stop for lunch. I really liked the menu options, just right for a pub meal. There's a really nice garden area for the summer days, but plenty of space inside too. The decor is cozy and the staff are accommodating! I would not recommend the pasta unfortunately (despite looking great) but all the other food was excellent, especially the roast! Overall worth a visit if you are in the area for a great park / Virginia water walk.

Food was unexpectedly excellent! Not your typical cheap pub grub, but actually decent Italian stuff. Chef must be Italian! Outdoor space is really pleasant and as you would expect, very dog friendly :)

Stopped here for dinner a few weeks ago as we were working nearby. The staff were friendly, and seated us straight away. We ordered and the food didn’t take too long to come out. The pizza was perfect, nice and crispy base with plenty of toppings. The fish and chips was good too, the batter wasn’t soggy and the fish wasn’t dry either. Definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a proper pub meal.

Great food. If you’re looking for a great meal in the area you could do worse than turning up for one here. We enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast paired with great brews. Chanced upon this beautiful restaurant on a warm sunny day and spent a delightful afternoon here.

Stopped by on a sunday afternoon after visiting the nearby Savill Garden. Charming pub with lots of seating both indoors and out. Ordered two beef roasts, truffle cauliflower cheese (🤤) and a fish & chips which we all really enjoyed accompanied by a bottle of Voignier which was chilled just right and tasted lovely! Service was attentive & super friendly. Would happily visit again if ever in the area :)

Went for Sunday lunch at the fox and hounds and utterly faultless!! Fabio and his team make you feel more than at home, had three courses which we could not fault, 10/10 delicious!!! along with ice cold beers and wine! What more could you ask for… shout out to Sarah who was also most helpful. Highly recommend the pub and the beautiful surrounding area.

After a well paced walk around the lake at Virginia Water, my wife & I had worked up a bit of an appetite. We chanced upon The Fox & Hounds by way of good ol' Google Maps, thought it looked nice & hopped in the car & headed there. Very glad we did too. Lovely place, we sat outside. Very good service - the lady who greeted us was lovely. Food was very good. I had the chipotle burger and chips, which was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Chips were awesome, crunchy on the outside, fluffy in the middle. (I can't be alone in thinking that chips should be an easy thing to get right, but so many places don't manage it.) Anyway, that burger comes with bacon, cheese & chipotle ketchup. It was awesome. Very pleased with my choice. If I'd left it at that I would have been fine, but I never learn. So I overdid it with sticky toffee pudding for afters, (very nice!) & I'm now lying on the floor at home like a lion that's eaten far too much gazelle & needs to sleep for a few hours. Highly recommend the place if you're out & about & fancy some decent food at a very nice establishment.

Good service, great food and very nice ambience. The veggie roast was the best I've ever tasted. Pizza, soup and meat roasts were full of flavour. Delicious pudding too. We sat inside on the day but there is also a big beer garden outside. Staff were kind, attentive and helped us with our dietary requirements. Make sure to book ahead as it is very popular.

Family meal I stupidly paid for parking as I missed the car park. A little more expensive than the norm but worth it - a great food standard, knowledgeable team (the drinks menu was from memory) and all our food was delicious. The specials menu had some special additions (lobster role or mussels) but my cheeseburger was great. With the park close by this is a great location and worthwhile if the weather is good for the Al fresco experience

Great to find this beautiful place open on a Monday! We sat in the garden, next to a fabulous, old olive tree. The service was excellent. We shared a baked camembert, then had fish and chips..a very generous, thick piece of fish served with delicious, fat chips and crushed peas. The mango and passion fruit cheesecake was a lovely dessert.

Really enjoyed Saturday lunch hour dining under the canopy outside the pub. Lovely menu to suit all tastes . Staff were helpful and friendly. Located close by the castle grounds for a stroll . Limited car parking too rear of pub, some outside on roads edge . Good atmosphere.

Excellent eaterie, friendly welcoming staff, good menu options at very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend the pizza's 👍 Had not been here for a number of years (having moved out of the area), so surprised at the extent of changes to the restaurant (I remember it as more of a pub that served food), but it had been well extended and is a good place to eat after a walk in The Great Park.

It's a nice gastropub with good, decent meals. The food was tasty and the ambience was very chill. Nice for quiet, intimate dinners/lunches. No complaints, I would come again.
