Lovely pub came here for a work meal. They had laid the table out for 14 in a square shape which was much better than a standard long table as allowed everyone to see and speak to eachother. The food was good I had the moo which is the steak and ale pie which was very nice. The menu is listed to a couple of options of pies and multiple different types of sausages so keep that in mind. I had a sticky chocolate cake for dessert which was absolutely beautiful. Only small comments I would make was that the chips were not the best they were a bit soggy. I loved the presentation of the food and the fact that the gravy was severed in a copper saucepan on the side.
A really great pub being brought back to its former glory! Sausage and mash is (happily) back on the menu and as tasty as can be, and the beer choices and quality are as they should be in your favourite local too. Really friendly, warm staff who care about what they are doing, and there are exciting plans for the future too. This pub deserves to be a massive success!
Courteous friendly staff. Food was excellent. Well worth the price. One of the best Sunday roasts I've ever had. Delicious.
We visited this pub for the first time in years for lunch on Monday, what an improvement! Wonderful welcome, spotlessly clean & cosy atmosphere.
Friendly, professional service with a wonderful meal, far above the standard of your classic 'pub grub!'
Great food. We all (4) had dressed crab special with a delicious salad and tasty new potatoes (skinny chips also available). We also had, rhubarb and apple tart tat-an, and treacle tart, both with ice cream, and extremely tasty. Very friendly staff

Went for a family meal, there were 9 of us altogether. The staff were fantastic and so helpful. Even though we had lactose and gluten allergies within the group, all of the meals were delicious and very good quality. Would definitely recommend!
First visited here about 1997. Had been to an Armed Forces Equality seminar in Aldershot. 2ic of my unit lived in Emsworth. As duty driver, i dropped him off. Not until he suggested coming to ' The Sausage Pub' as its known. Food at the seminar was pathetic and we were starving.
Second visit was arranged by my wife for my 47th birthday in 2007.
Latest visit was my 3rd visit. Great food as the last 2 visits had been.
As Arnie says "I'll be back!" 😁😁
First visit here with a friend for dinner. Such a nice pub and a very friendly welcome. I had the linguine with smoked salmon, garlic bread, tiramasu and glass of sauviagnon blanc. The best Italian food I've tasted outside if Italy 🇮🇹 will definitely visit again. A very enjoyable evening and hope the new owners are successful.
Fabulous little pub serving great food it's my second visit to this gastronomic gem and have not been disappointed. Great menu and daily specials , friendly staff, highly recommend booking .
Lovely pub , highly recommended to anyone , we had the sausage platter and would highly recommend.
Lovely atmosphere.
Just stopped in to have some food at lunchtime. Great staff, fresh food that is locally sourced!!
Well worth a visit…
Very friendly staff and a good selection of ales. Sausage and mash was nice, want to try the garlic one next time
Stopped here for lunch, had 3 of their specials sausages and the sticky toffee pudding. Simple dishes done better than I've ever had them before. Excellent service.
What a great spot for Sunday lunch, we chose the speciality sausage platter, best I've had for a long time. Great service as well 🙂
3 of us visited for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago. We got the best table in the house - right by the fireplace - in the bar area
I can't express adequately how great the service staff were. Friendly, chatty, helpful, informed - they really made the birthday lunch special for my friend.
And the lunch - we had the 3 meat roast and I actually didn't need to eat again until lunchtime the next day!
We'll certainly be back!!
