We went today for a birthday meal for my sister Jean. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend. The staff were very welcoming and friendly especially the waitress lady who bought in our cake for my sister and also sang happy birthday with us she is an asset to your restaurant. the lady had short hair. She made it a very special day. Thanks to all staff. Carol and Steve Middleton

Beautiful place to stay! Wonderful staff, great food, rooms are clean and well equipt, stunning location. Only downfall was that the rooms were so hot, I almost had an asthma attack and couldn't sleep. I want to note that there are fans in each one, apart from air con being installed there's not much more they can do. Shame though, as if that was resolved, our stay would have been perfect!

We only had food which was great although we had to wait a while! Some of the waiters were lovely and attentive and one in particular(I think she was supposed to be the hotel receptionist) very snobby and lazy. She wouldn’t even take us to a table but asked us to go to the bar and ask, when eventually the lady at the bar went back to her asking where we should be sitting. The food was scrumptious luckily and made up for a bad start.

Went for lunch for 4. We all had different dishes and all were REALLY GOOD. There was alot of choice including vegetarian. Serve a decent point of GK IPA.

The Lamb is right in the centre of Ely. It’s by a fairly busy road but we sat at a table right next to it and could not hear traffic at all. The food came quickly and staff were friendly. I had the Crispy chicken in a basket with a Kiev sauce and my partner had the shrimp and chilli linguine. Both meals were very tasty and left us feeling very satisfied. We will definitely be coming back!

We spent one night in an Annex room to meet family. My husband is not very mobile due to hip problems so the wet room and disabled car parking space were invaluable. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was standard pub grub and generally okay.

We were visiting Ely on a Sunday (we are very new to the UK) and learned very quickly that places close early. We wanted a meal instead of just afternoon tea, & stumbled upon the restaurant in this hotel. Excellent service, very kind and personable waiter, and inexpensive healthy options. Definitely look forward to going back!

To be fair I should not have rated this establishment. Only called in for a drink passing through on a day trip. On reflection it should have been a 4. Wide selection of drinks. Clean toilets and courtious helpful staff.

I stayed at the Lamb Hotel this weekend with my mum and sister for my mum's 80th birthday present. We could not fault the hotel at all!. Lovely friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble and the food was hot and tasty, in fact we choose to eat there Friday, Saturday and Sunday lunchtime. Thank you all for helping make my mums weekend so lovely, would definitely recommend and we will be back 🙂

Fantastic evening at The Lamb! Warm and friendly staff, atmosphere and surroundings. We had a 3 course meal and everything was cooked and presented beautifully. The manager, Sam, was so lovely and caring. Finding us a lovely quiet table. As was Sandra who served us throughout the evening. After our meal we went through to the bar area which was equally as pleasant. We will definitely be back again. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

Obviously dated, but thats part of its charm. The staff, Sam the manager and all the staff were helpful, courteous and pleasant. If you are a " go with the flow type" then this place is for you. Only downside on our room, being wrong side of 70 we could do with a couple of hand rails to assist enter and exiting excellent shower.

The Lamb Hotel is lovely, conveniently located in the heart of the City. Friendly staff, lovely ambient surrounding in the bar, comfortable seating and delicious fayre. The display of their selection of Gins is spectacularly colourful and fascinating. We have recently been in there for coffee and we were served at different visits by two very lovely, friendly young ladies, who deserve a mention, Daisy and Jo. When you have staff with a friendly attitude towards customers, then your visit is made all the better and makes you feel that you would visit again. As much as we usually visit in the week, today, Sunday we popped in for a coffee and I have to say, the amount of people in there eating is testament to the quality of the fayre. The Lamb is well worth a visit when visiting the City even for a sit down, coffee, lunch or sitting outside in the courtyard. Their display out in the courtyard of the flowers are always beautiful and colourful and the baskets and tubs are planted up with seasonal flowers. So if you are in the City, visit the Lamb for yourselves, you won't regret it.

Very welcoming and comfortable hotel. Room clean and with everything you need. Good choice for dinner and very good value. Ideal location for Ely and a short train journey to Cambridge. It was our second stay and we will be returning.
