Fabulous pub, delicious food, great atmosphere ! My Puppy was made more than welcome, even given a drink as soon as we sat down ! :) Makes this a great place for us to eat at when we are visiting Ely.

Iconic ales, good atmosphere, and amazingly polite staff is just a small handful of the words I can use to describe this pub. The atmosphere resembles a classic English pub, fitting right in to the community around them as you are basked in the Cathedral's beauty 50 steps away from the front doors. Great food, and great service awaits for you at the Minster. Also, if he is there please say "Hello" to the Canadian that works behind the bar.

Had a lovely afternoon meal! We got a combo 5 plate starter deal, so we had cheesy mac bites, southern fried chicken, katsu chips, 6 chicken wings, and barbecue pork meat balls, with brown ale. For mains, had the Lasagne, 10 Oz Rump steak, sausages and mash.. with sticky toffee pudding and apple pie dessert. It was all fabulous! The service was fantastic, and atmosphere very friendly. Seemed like the whole town was eating there too:-)

Good traditional town centre pub next to the Minster. 5 real ales. Starting off the day witj a cool pint of Wantsum brewery Fortitude. A 4.6% premium ale. Classic pub food menu.£4.99 for a small full English breakfast, £6.49 for the big one.

My wife had the mushroom Wellington, and I had the beef Sunday lunch. Lovely and hot , plenty of veg , nice that you are served both roast potatoes and mashed and not having to choose between the two. We shall definitely be returning to the Minster tavern .

Loved the food. I had half a duck. Eyes bigger than belly. Couldn't eat it all. Amazing value though. 😀

Well, it won't win any Michelin Stars, but if you want a great menu of delicious pub grub comfort food, The Minster Tavern is the place to go! Lovely real ales and excellent friendly service. And incredible value - most dishes around a tenner. What is not to like?

I went off this place years ago and would not have gone back except I was meeting a friend. I was surprised it is a lot better than it used to be. I had a decent pint well kept and I liked the atmosphere

Another lovely visit! Had a great time celebrating mother's day, was served a free glass of prosecco for my Mum. The beef was very tender and melt in the mouth! Just the spot for a Sunday roast! Thank you again 😄

Popped in on Saturday 11th December. It was dark and damp outside but inside it was warm, well lit yet cosy. Lovely. It is so close to the Cathedral you'd be concerned that it would be "tourist trap expensive" but fear not, it is very reasonably priced, normal pub prices and big food portions as my pics show. I had the 12 inch mac and cheese and wifey had the usual sausage and mash. Superb. It is very dog friendly with a real welcoming vibe. You immediately feel like one of the regulars and the staff treat you as such, making you feel part of the place not just a visitor. There are a lot of TVs but they were on mute and with the numerous small table set ups it's easy to avoid them. We stayed for a few hours as it filled up and then made the mistake of going to their sister pub the Hereward which isn't far away. More on that in my review for that pub Ultimately the Minster Tavern is a great, central pub and well worth a visit

5 stars for customer care. They had a new kitchen and menu that week and we were a large group for food. Instead of serving poor quality to us all , they did a few shares and was spot on. I love honesty and care about there food and customers. Most places would have took the money and dissatisfied customers
