Excellent all round! No fault found 😊 Price , food, staff, surroundings , All 4 of us absolutely stuffed, with no room for pudding! Maybe next time I will try to save a little room for a pudding as they looked terrific. 👅Would definitely recommend! Lots of choices on the menu, there isn't much they have left off!

Celebrated my dads 65th birthday here today and it was fantastic! Gorgeous carvery, friendly/helpful staff and great atmosphere for families. My dad loved his afternoon and we would highly recommend to others. Thanks High Flyer!!

Great Sunday carvery. I could cut the beef with a spoon, so tender and loads of it. Bit disappointed I didn’t have room for pudding. Nice pint of Charlie Wells Eagle.

We went to the High Flyer for their Sunday carvery. The staff were lovely very accommodating. The food was very nice and hot. We'd definitely go back though. Many thanks to Sebastian for helping my mother in law with the carvery plate!!!

We had lunch here today and we loved our main meals, fish and chips and Bollywood Bird. Great flavour, big portions and fast service. The staff were all super friendly too. The only complaint we have is the desserts. The hot chocolate brownie was really dry and mostly tasteless and my brownie sundae wasn't much better. The brownie was dry and the ice cream had freezer burn. You'd expect a lot more for £7 and £7.25 respectively. The desserts really let this restaurant down. 😔

This is a good spot to meet friends. The staff are friendly but not rushed. The building is clean and welcoming. I didn't eat but it looked good and people told us it was nice. They obviously take pride in their beer as the Adnams was very good. It doesn't have loud music playing, so you can hear what people say which is a huge plus!

We hadn’t been to the High Flyer for years but decided to pay a visit today. The staff were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The carnivorous people were well catered for. My one slightly negative comment would be the lack of vegetarian options. There were a few but a couple more would really enhance the menu. Perhaps a veggie tart or falafels with a large salad. But overall a great lunch and we have already rebooked.

Just had the nicest 5 night stay with Noreen and the team at The High Flyer. I really can't say a bad thing about it. We were given the warmest welcome, a lovely room and it stayed that way throughout the week. The food is absolutely beautiful. Carvery at weekend is amazing and the slow roasted lamb was to die for. Thank you again for looking after us! Xx

Absolutely fantastic. The waiter that served our table, Sebastian, was deemed the best waiter my parents ever had. They eat out a bunch so the competition there is real he did make the evening so enjoyable with a cracking sense of humour and a fantastic host. The food was excellent and though not cheap it was great value for money as the quantity and quality was excellent. A truly enjoyable evening and we have some chicken left for tomorrow as it was too much for one meal tonight. .

Very kind man greeted us and seated us. Kind to my dogs and got them some iced water. The carvery was really lovely, well cooked and presented really nicely. Tasted great and the vegetables were all first class. The decor is clean and modern. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

We had a great time for dinner, Sebastian is hilarious 😄 really fun atmosphere in the restaurant area, food was good (although could do with more veggie options other than burgers 😉), definitely coming back!

We went to the High Flyer for a meal and a couple of drinks. We’d been meaning to try it out for a while now, and it did not disappoint. We ended up going for four carvery’s (two of which were vegan.) No one at the table had any complaints. The price was very fair, the help yourself carvery was a nice touch and all the food was to a high standard. It’s hard to find a decent vegan roast and we were very impressed.

Best roast I've had in a restaurant in years. £13.50 all you can eat sides. I ordered the veggie Wellington and you can help yourself to everything else. Carrots, parsnips, Yorkshire, stuffing, sausages, roasties, mash, leaks, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, green cabbage, boiled carrots. Full to the brim. We visited prime time on a Sunday and ate outside as fullbooked. Preferred it as it was quite. They come to get you when it's your turn to go up so you don't have to stand and queue. Free parking. Vegan options.

Outstanding. Clean environment, good quality food, good service. Resident dog gives good cuddles. Chocolate fudge cake could have been slightly bigger, but truly truly outstanding food. Loved it and will be back. What a gem!!!!!
