My family and I popped in Sunday for lunch. Despite being busy, we didn't have to wait long for our lunch, there was enough variety on the back menu, to satisfy the fussier of eaters. There was plenty of food, it left us all very full, but not quite full enough to have a lovely pudding. The waiting staff, were brilliant. A big mention to the Chef's and all of those who work tirelessly behind the scenes. The management and owners should be extremely proud of their wonderful staff. I would highly recommend this place. And we will be back.

On Friday i attended my sons wedding here , The venue was amazing all set up beautifully , Your staff & yourself were very attentive during the day , evening & also the next morning , the food was perfect , the accommodation was also perfect , spotless , good sized room , with a very comfortable bed , we have been here before to meet up with the family , i would definatley recommend the Anchor as a first class venue that covers everything x

Wot a lovely place stayed there last nite 10th june as it was my wedding day the staff was very friendly the rooms r very tidy and clean and the breakfast was spot on would highly recommen staying here

I had my wedding held at The Anchor, and I can't put into words how absolutely fantastic it was! Kate, Tracey and all the staff went out of their way to make it such a wonderful day! We held our Wedding reception at the Little Downham Anchor and what a wonderful time we had, we were so happy with the service from John and all of his team from the initial contact to the end if the celebrations the food and attention to detail were second to none, both myself the groom and all of our guests had a fabulous time and before they left we’re planning a return visit! I would definitely recommend them for a drink and a meal to a full blown celebration thank you so much for making our day even more special
Absolute nightmare and hour for starters..that were over cooked and awful. Mains we couldn't eat..felt sorry for the waiteriss's that kept apologising. Dreadful fool and empty restaurante..on a Saturday evening. Sadly worst meal we have had..I should have listened to other people who have eaten there!

Food was top quality, we had the mixed grill and crumble, staff super friendly and attentive which can be a rarity and they kept us well oiled with drinks all night!
The room was cozy and functional with only one drawback, travelling around the hotel in the bed when having sexy time, as it was on wheels? Beds on wheels, don’t recommend that one! 😂

A well-managed, friendly, warm hotel with pleasant, polite and efficient staff. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped. The evening meals and breakfasts were absolutely superb. Will definitely return.
We had a one night stay in room 5, Split level room with lounge and kitchenette, it was amazing for the price, spotless and very modern. We had an evening meal of sharing starter, surf n turf, rump steak raspberry cheesecake and cheese board. It was glorious and well worth the money. Great night sleep was had followed by a fantastic full breakfast

Good customer service with excellent breakfast. The oly downside are the cold bedrooms and lack of bedding
And also the accessible room is upstairs so when the lift doesn't work and the staff on duty do not know how to restart it. Luckily I am not in a wheelchair and with some difficulty did manage to get up the stairs.
However almost all these problems were excused because of the plus points. Just bring a spare pillow and quilt in the boot of your car
When I went with a group of friends for Sunday lunch I was very underwhelmed.. No beef or lamb options, hardly any veg and hard potatoes which I think were meant to be roasted... I'm not a foodie or a good cook but I could knock up better at home in a very short time!

We had a fantastic relaxed lunch for five of us, the food and service were excellent and the staff happy to tweak an order for our fussy kids. A really nice welcoming and clean pub, a shame we couldn't stop for longer! We'll be back next time we're in the area.
Recently visited for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. Very friendly and attentive waiting staff along with great food and service.
The only gripe (hence four stars) is that I felt £9 for a child's roast dinner was expensive for what was served. Other than that, all was very good and we would happily return.
Popped on for an impromptu Sunday luch and a couple of pints. Food was good, the people were nice and the loos were clean. I would go back if I was in Little Downham again.

Lovely pub we popped into on the way to our mini break at Head Fen Country Retreat. We were hoping for lunch but they stop serving food Friday afternoon's?! We had some drinks and crisps instead. Would like to try back for food another time. Friendly service.
We popped in to this publican due to a recommendation from the nearby school for being child friendly.
The establishment was very child friendly from the owners and the staff to the regular customers who made us feel most welcome.
We ordered our food and expected standard quality for the children (deep fried nuggets, microwave burger) we were most certainly wrong and most pleasantly surprised!
The children's meals were home cooked and fantastic portion sizes. The chicken nuggets were perfectly crispy with the batter, along with being lovely and succulent! The burger was seasoned perfectly and the sausages were also cooked to perfection. The adult meal was equally impressive with the home made gravy which was devine!
The children, whom are certainly critics of their own, loved every bite, as did the adults!
