It has been a while since we visited Poets House but was very impressed with the food and service... We both started with great cocktails within the bar area and then opted for the 3 course meal at £30 a head. Starters, mains and desserts we all amazing, top quality food and presentation.... We have just been for our first visit to Poets House in Ely for my Birthday treat and we will definitely be back. Wonderful Afternoon Tea made even nicer by the relaxed atmosphere and extremely lovely friendly staff that make you feel very welcome and not rushed at all. Fantastic hotel with a warm welcome.
Absolutely loved my stay here, the room was gorgeous and full of charm. Evening Meal was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. I will definitely be back.

My mum and I called in to the bar at Poets House on our way home. Despite only having a glass of wine each, we were well-tended too and did not have to wait at all to be served at our table.
As always the decor was fantastic and the atmosphere was fantastic. It was also lovely to see the happiness from a 40th party leaving from the function room. Many other people had enjoyed an afternoon tea, and couldn't eat it all.
I last visited here for my dad's birthday breakfast- so it was fantastic to experience another time of day.
My husband surprised me with a stay here last night for our Wedding Anniversary. I can not fault one thing. Everything from the cocktails, the room, our meal and breakfast were all first class. Christine had arranged flowers,champagne and chocolates (which had been handmade by the chef) in the room for our arrival. We had a fabulous evening and will definitely be returning. Thank you to all at Poets House for making our stay so special.

The service at the start was great and the food was fantastic.
Didn't have a full meal to advise fully, but had lunch on a works event and it was really nice. I imagine the meals are amazing.
My friends and I really love coming here, we try to make it at least once a year. It's as welcoming as it is beautiful, and the food never disappoints! Also we get to do the rounds of dear old Ely and its many attractions! Looking forward to my next visit!

Perfect dining, lovely atmosphere,staff very attentive, the perfect venue many thanks again a must visit was a closely guarded secret! Not now !

Afternoon tea was delightful and the room is beautifully decorated.
Staff weren't very pleasant at all.
Brilliant meal and great service - they came up with a 3-course vegan menu for us which was delicious. The meat-eater with us was very happy too.
Good service and an enjoyable meal. A mix up on the wine, but a happy one in the end.
