Lovely tea rooms just outside the cathedral grounds with great views of the cathedral itself. Busy, we had a short wait before claiming an outside table. There were seats available indoors too. Food was tasty and service friendly.

Absolutely lovely stop for lunch or tea. It had ample seating indoors and outdoors (outdoors with a beautiful view of the cathedral), and good food portions for moderate price.

Vaulted ceilings give The Almonry a unique ambience, with a light, airy atmosphere. The filter coffee was nice and rich, with extra value delivered by a lower priced refill. We were waiting a while to be served, but it was a busy afternoon. If you're visiting Ely Cathedral, it is well worth stopping off here.

I like it but they are quite expensive for just a tea and sandwich and the bread was nothing special but was fresh. The teapot was tiny so a pot of tea will only give you 2 small cups....not as much as a decent mug. I had to eat outside because I had my dog with me.....they do have the rooms to allow one to be pet friendly like the peacocks tearoom at the maltings, but dogs are not allowed inside. They did, however, happily give my dog a bowl of water and a chew, which he appreciated. Fortunately the weather was good but I don't use this place when he weather means that I can't sit outside.

My friends had their wedding reception here...just a small gathering for afternoon tea. It was absolutely lovely. Plenty of delicious food, tea and coffee ... The staff were very helpful and attentive. The gardens back onto Ely Cathedral; the perfect spot for the photographs or just sit and have a coffee. Highly recommend

This is a wonderful spot for lunch or just a cuppa. I'm keen to go back for afternoon tea. We were seated outside and it was just lovely. It took a bit long for our order to be taken and for our bill (not for lack of trying to flag someone down), but the overall atmosphere made of for that. We will definitely go back.

Crypt like architecture, but with white painted wall, it is light inside. Lovely location with plenty of outdoor seating when the weather allows.
