Visited here yesterday as a treat for myself & my Niece. The place was so quaint & very welcoming. The staff were extremely attentive & we weren't rushed at all, even though they had a huge queue nearly reaching out the door into the garden. The garden was a lovely welcoming place to sit & enjoy whatever you decide to choose from the menu. A massive plus is dogs are also welcome which you don't tend to get much of these days. We ordered a pot of coffee served in beautiful China cups. Also we ordered carrot cake, this was to die for, so moist & delicious yummy! Will definitely be returning. Thanks for a lovely afternoon.

This is by far our favorite place in Ely, and our favorite tea house ever. We go at least once a month and every time it is amazing. The staff are so friendly, the tearoom and outside areas are beautiful, and the food/tea is the best! I always recommend this place to all of my friends

The best scones and black currant jam I've ever had! Great location, service, attention to detail and staff keep me coming back time and again. The fact that my little dog can come with me and even gets served doggie biscuits on a little China plate also make it the perfect place to finish a dog walk...... Try the fig chutney!

What a lovely way to pass a couple of hours! Gorgeous smoked chicken and pepper sandwiches and the scones were delicious too. Best tea we’ve ever tasted and the staff are superb. Lovely quirky friendly tea rooms - what’s not to like?

Visited last June. As a "GUY' I wasn't sure I would enjoy the "English Tea" experience. I was with my wife and daughter, so....Had an excellent time, an outstanding pot of Earl Grey, and a great sandwich. Thank you for the wonderful experience. My wife and I will be back...Well Done!

Really friendly staff who were very welcoming to a guide dog. The food was good and the setting is lovely. My first visit but definitely lived up to everyone's comments and I will go back when I'm passing.

If you ever are around Ely, you must come to Peacocks Tearoom. A great place to enjoy a traditional English tea, surrounded by beautiful views of the Maltings. They offer a big selection of tea and the cakes are delicious! I love the lavender and polenta cake... The decoration, atmosphere, and friendly service make this place a must to visit with friends or family.

We came to Ely and stayed for a few days and one of the highlights we had was we visited Peacocks Tearoom. I ordered the Earl Grey tea and it was lovely, it was a loose tea that we could pour ourselves and it was a lovely break from the cold wintery weather. It is very popular here so if you're wanting a seat, come here early.

My favorite place in Ely and one of the best tearooms in Cambridgeshire in my opinion. Sandwiches are just how they should be, big, warm, crispy. It’s always a struggle to pick between them and the afternoon tea because the Peacocks’s scones are just a thing of beauty. Every time I visit, I feel welcomed. The tea selection is impressive. The place itself is so well decorated, it’s just fun to ‘explore’ different rooms and their vibe. It’s simple - I love the place, will be back for sure.

☕️ A lovely and delightful tea room. A beautiful walk towards the tea room through a floral archway and courtyard and into the front door. we were escorted through little rooms all decorated with lots of plates and crockery and nick nacks. All the tables and chairs were unique and add lots of charm and nostalgia. 🫖A very extensive choice of different teas and other drinks. A blackboard stating the days specials. Service was delivered with a smile and food and drink was served in good time. Another thing that stands out is the noise. All the other patrons chittering and chattering adds a delightful atmosphere. will definitely be visiting again.

Overall good first experience of English afternoon tea. The whole setup was very sweet. However, as suspected, the cake was too sweet, and sandwich was too salty, which was probably my personal preference. Tea and the scone were great.

Very traditional tea room! Highly recommended. The selection of teas is very vast. Coffee, soda and soft drink is available too. Delicious scones, cakes and a brunch here is ideal.

What a lovely place. Quaint, warm and welcoming. So many things to look at around the walls (decor). A few different rooms and not too cramped. Service was great. Very polite staff. Food was so good. Fresh and light. Soooo many teas to choose from. A tea for every taste. Loved it. Well worth a visit. Doesn’t cost an arm and a leg either. There is an outside seating area which I imagine would be a nice place to sit in the summer, when the shrubs and plants are leafy and green. There is also a little book stand just before the entrance to tea room. Will try to visit in the summer just to see the difference and to enjoy the tea rooms again

One of the most beautiful places Ive eaten. The gardens are lovely and I reccomend sitting outside. Their scones are delicious and I reccomend the fruit scone paired with the Mrs. Hudson tea. It was a wonderful breakfast. And the service is so kind and they have great suggestions!
