One of my favourite local coffee shops. The coffee is delicious and the food is generally very good too. I certainly isn't cheap but it is usually fairly busy and well staffed which tells you a lot about a place. Dog, cyclist and child friendly
Very welcoming cafe with friendly staff and great ambience. The food is really very good. The chocolate croissant muffin was a big hit! Bicycle racks outside as well as dog water bowls. All in all a great experience.
Great coffee and cake, seems like there is a bit of experimentation going on with the cake choices which is to our advantage as there were some cool flavours. Nice chatty staff, pleasant indoors or out the front. Cycle racks outside and very cycle friendly.
Had the absolute pleasure of attending the French food evening hosted by South Downs at 172. We left thoroughly stuffed and very happy. Please keep these events coming. I always enjoy the café and this was another welcome fantastic addition to enjoy.

A great place. Coffee is string but very good. The food prices are priced right. Quantity and quality great. A very relaxed atmosphere.
I got there just before closing and they happily served me coffee and cake. A happy cyclist!
The owner reactivated the smoothie machines, that he had already washed before closing, for us, 2 very thirsty cyclists. We were very grateful!

So pleased this location is reopened. New owner is a Top Man and the service excellent. Lovely friendly team. Good coffee and yummy bacon sarnie. Perfect for a mid MTB ride on a cold wet & windy Saturday morning. We will return. Highly recommend!! 👍🏻
