Lovely friendly pub where the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We were a little late arriving to eat but nothing was too much trouble as far as the staff were concerned.
The food is exceptional. Large menu and special nights such as steak night, fish night make this pub a must to visit. A good selection of beers, ciders and a varied wine list all add to the overall experience. The Woolpack was also the first pub to stock the locally produced Thundry Hills gin. This gin is itself a good reason to visit.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to my next visit.
First visit to this lovely pub. The Sunday carvery was hot fresh and delicious. The dessert trolley is amazing. Lovely relaxing atmosphere very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend and won't be our only visit.

Amazing food and great service. The kids loved playing in the pub garden while we sat and ate. Have the pizza, home made and fantastic. We will come back again!

Just got back from a lovely sunday lunch at The Woolpack, it's a great Carvery I must say, the staff were very friendly and helpful too, my friend had the fish n chips which she said was lovely , we shared two starters ( the breaded Camembert and the mushrooms ) and wished we'd had one each because they were so tasty, I had the roast Lamb and it was all very delish, we will definitely be going back and hopefully quite soon , I fully recommend to any foody....

Booked here for a lunch to celebrate my father-in-law's 92nd birthday.
Always a challenge to find somewhere with a menu to satisfy all in the group but this did it.
2 of the chef's specials were tried. The King prawn and salmon pasta (very good) and the liver and bacon (excellent with particular mention to the perfectly steamed veg as well as the great meat). The fish and chips went down a treat and 'the birthday boy's' ham, egg and chips was greatly appreciated.
Puddings selected from a sweet trolley (not seen one of those for a while) including a candle in the guest of honour's lemon meringue pie.
All in all an excellent meal and very reasonably priced even before the20% off in September deal
Service wasn't the fastest but fine and a really friendly and helpful serving team.
Nice old pub stuck in a bit of a time warp, but in a good way. Very friendly with a reasonable selection of beers. I did not eat, but there were many people eating, and they all looked satisfied
Ended up here last night, 10 mins before it closed for food, we phoned to make sure we could eat. They suggested pizzas as they were about to shut kitchen and it would be quicker. Glad they did! Was the best pizza I had ever had! And the staff were amazing and very friendly. We will be back for sure! Lovely evening and the place was spotless, a beautiful pub.

The food was amazing, the pizza was perfectly cooked and delicious, the service was outstanding and the waiters were so kind! I really recommend this restaurant because it is also pet friendly! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ there is an outdoor area for children and seating for adults, with a play area. This place is amazing and I Had lovely experience.
Excellent vegan menu, one of the best we've seen in a pub especially. And the food was excellent. Would have been even better with a dessert option other than ice cream and vegan beer other than Guinness. But we'll definitely be back
Great place with nice garden. Nicely balanced menu which also includes pizza and some lighter options. Separate kids menu. All portions are very generously sized.
Great for a Sunday Roast. Generous children’s portions and tasty, properly cooked vegetables. The stewed red cabbage was beautifully cooked.
Amazing carvery with yummy mains and desserts too. Super service. We'll be returning for sure.

We live in Milford .. hadn't been to The Woolpack before even though have driven past it lots of times. Went there last Tuesday evening for first time as places we go to in the area have gone downhill recently so looking for a new place. We liked it so much we booked for ( Carvery ) lunch on Sunday. Both times food, quality of service and value for money all excellent. Will be back and no hesitation in recommending it .. hence the review.
I organised a Christmas work do for 40 people at the Woolpack and it was fantastic, I couldn’t fault it! Communication prior to the event was fantastic and the staff were all so lovely. The food was absolutely delicious and was great value for money. So grateful to the team for giving us such a great night.
