The Snug has always been on our to-do list but we've always been heading through Alves tooing and froing as we're such busy retirees☺️ but not today. Car park requires some skills accessing and egressing but don't let this deter you as it's worthwhile. We were led into the room, looking out into the adjacent garden, which was lovely and bright. There were specials on the board which can also be seen on Facebook, if you do that. In fact both of ours were off the specials board. My wife had yellow split pea soup and I had the fish and chips. Both reasonably priced. My fish was lovely with a perfect batter and was served with freshly made mushy peas; freshly made tartare sauce and chips. I think the only thing not made there was the packet of mayo to go with my chips. My wife couldn't finish her soup so I just managed to help her ♥️. Keep up the good work.

Small place just off the A96, has a fairly limited menu. Food is ok but nothing to get overly excited about.

This cafe is located right beside the very busy A96 in Alves which is about five miles west of Elgin. I have wanted to try this place for a while. I arrived on a Tuesday lunchtime. Originally I thought the place was closed but then I realised the entrance is at the back. I should say that parking is tight but I did find a space. I had Katsu Curry which was a new dish for me. I really enjoyed it although the sauce for a little strong for my liking. The restaurant was busy which told me that this place has regular customers. This was my first visit and I hope to visit again in the near future. It is a good place to dine on your own and I found the staff friendly.

The food was absolutely delicious and so nice to have so many gluten free options. Very friendly, helpful staff and a great atmosphere. Also nice to see it busy on on Tuesday afternoon.

It was oki, nice staff, reasonably priced and food was tasty. For us.... (looking for bacon rolls) there was not much in the way of light meal for lunch, lots of sandwiches !

This is very local to us and I'm glad to see it going from strength to strength. Menu is fairly basic but adequate. Good coffee and the cakes are extremely good. The staff are friendly and will always stop for a chat. They are very accommodating if you have a dietary preference . Actual cafe is clean and well lite and the large wood burning stove is very welcoming on a cold day. Only drawback is the distance to the toilets which are ok but very cold the last time I used them.

A lovely new café, very cosy and welcoming as the name suggests! Friendly staff, plenty of choices on the menu - including vegan and veggie mains and sandwiches / snacks - plus a great kids menu. I had 5 Bean Veggie Chilli Nachos w vegan cheese, was very tasty and a generous portion. Have been following on Facebook & Instagram and couldn't wait to try the amazing looking cakes - the huge slice of Coffee & Walnut Cake absolutely lived up to the promise of the photos, it was delicious! Excellent coffee too, will definitely be back soon!
