We visited here following a walk alongside the river. On one side of the cafe, is a busy main road which runs from Egham to Windsor, but on the other side you’re surrounded by the perfect setting for nature walks through the National Trust grounds. I was expecting more of an ‘afternoon tea’ feel for these tea rooms, although it felt more like a standard cafe. The food was average and quite expensive, having had a fruit scone which was very hard left us slightly disappointed. The Victoria sponge, on the other hand, was huge and very tasty. The tea was served in individual small teapots, which was nice. Inside there is also a bookshelf which is a nice touch. Overall, a good pit stop during a hike, cycle or if you’re just passing through.

Nice interior to relax in after an exploration of the park nearby! The coffee is good and there’s a nice selection of ice cream, sandwiches and crisps. We had the soup of the day (tomato and red pepper) which was delicious and came with a nice thick slice of bread.

Andy and his team are very friendly and professional. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Coffee and cakes are great, hot food looks good too 😋 Lovely walks in the woods and meadows along with the memorials you can easily spend a few hours here before stopping back at the tea room for refreshments. Definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area. Dog friendly too, dog biscuits and water available 🐕‍🦺🐾

Brilliant place; great location steeped in history. Good walks and interesting art work. Finished with a lovely lunch in the cafe. Tasty selection and very dog friendly; the staff could not have been more welcoming. Really worth a visit.

What a lovely surprise! Years ago it was a place forgotten by the gods. Visited 2 weeks ago: a warm, cosy, great place. Had a home-made mushroom soup - couldn't believe how delicious it was! Thank you, National Trust!
