On Mothering Sunday I booked a table for six people at 12:30. On arrival the table was set up and reserved ready for us to be seated. The roast beef and Yorkshire puddings was spot on with staff members that couldn’t do enough for us. Sadly we didn’t have time to look around the gardens, hence our return last week. Yet again we received delicious food at reasonable prices with friendly staff welcoming us at the door. After a long walk around the gardens we popped back in for a coffee and noticed the afternoon tea. Arrangements are now being made for another trip!

Very pleasant inside and outside seating. Our panini's were delicious with quality ingredients and very well presented. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. It's also the little things like a good sized teapot and separate hot water jug, that differentiates great from good. With ample parking, birds chirping and a bit of sun, it's an excellent spot.

I like Eggleston Hall Gardens and café. I have visited a few times over the years and have always enjoyed the food. There's plenty of choice on the menu and all of very good quality. Service is prompt and staff friendly. In good weather it is well worth wandering around the gardens which are lovely. Staff are on hand if you want to buy any plants. The gift shop has some lovely and unique items but is not cheap.

Great place with super lovely staff. Good gluten free options available (try the fish cakes AMAZING!!) Dogs are welcome and you can sit inside or out. They also take reservations which I recommend as they can get busy at times. All the food is beautifully presented and cooked fresh to order, the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the ingredients which is very good for allergy sufferers like myself. Good quality coffees and teas available and a mouthwatering selection of cakes and puddings. As if you would need anything else there is also a super plant nursery to look round and a gift shop, definitely well worth a visit.

Took my Mum for breakfast 16.06.18, fabulous perfectly poached eggs. Don't get here as often as we'd like (living in Darlington) but it's well worth the effort. Lovely place, staff and the food never disappoints

Couldn't fault our lunch. Always something a little bit different on the menu. Can't wait to try afternoon tea - several visitors had booked and the selection looked amazing. Made enquiries and there are a few choices of menu. Reasonably priced too.

After having a good look round the gardens and buying some really unusual plants, some we've never seen before, what better way to finish off, with a lovely meal, snack and drinks, friendly staff I highly recommend this place to everyone.
