Had a couple of afternoon teas, absolutely marvelous. The bacon, brie & cranberry sandwich is stunning, reyt good! I'm not a fan of salad but the missus had that, looked decent anyway! The scones were corking, had chocolate shavings up on top and everything, they go above and beyond. Finally had a couple of slices of cake, both were spot on, can't say I've ever had Mint Choc Chip cake before but there you go, nice and refreshing. Coffee was alright, comes in a French press, so you get a few bits of ground beans in your cup, but it's not bad coffee all in all.
5/5, would recommend.

Small, quaint & cosy! On first impressions of it being small you might hesitate to sit down, but take a seat!
We couldn’t recommend this cafe more, Lucy and her sister were beyond welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and all homemade, the size and decor really added to the feel! Loved every minute
What a lovely place. Took my mum yesterday the food was fantastic and the staff was very helpful and welcoming
Went to try the afternoon tea for my mum's birthday yesterday. Reasonably priced, gorgeous food, friendly staff and lovely environment. What more could you want?!

Beautiful location and very friendly staff. Popped in for breakfast (which was very tasty) and sat outside in the lovely courtyard. Will definitely visit again
My two friends and I went for lunch to celebrate my BIG birthday recently. We were treated like royalty by the two wonderful ladies who run it and the food was amazing. We are going to make this a regular outing now! Thank you so much Lucy and Amy for making the day special. Xx
Fab little tea room.
Lovely friendly staff, happily working together.
Its a compact little place with tables mostly for two.
Home made food and cakes, with very generous portions.
Great selection of food and tea's.
Its tucked away. We though it was closed at first but then found the right blue door near the sign on the wall in the court yard.
Love the retro cutlery. Reminds me of when I was a kid!
Lush little cafe to stop on-route to our holiday home - we chose the small plates (3 for £19) as we were determined to leave room for cakes afterwards - the pate was particularly delicious.
Small but perfectly formed, as they say. Indoor (small) and outdoor seating. Good menu for a small cafe. Good food and great service by friendly staff. I will visit again.
Nice little tea room especially when the weathers nice and you can sit out in the courtyard. Excellent cream teas
Excellent choice of food which was very tasty and served hot by friendly staff.
What a beautiful place and delicious scones. The staff were extremely friendly and polite.
Nice cafe/bistro, great coffee and the food choice looks really god but not eaten here(yet)
Meeting point for lunch with friends on our way to a forest holidays cabin. We had a great time. Excellent food, great drinks... the bacon butty was decent size in proper bread. The pie, peas, onion gravy & mint sauce tasty & salads yummy. Free parking too. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
We sat outside in a very cosy awning with a heater and blankets provided by very attentive and pleasant staff. The toastie and coffee was excellent. Well worth a visit.
Stopped for a drink, set in a beautiful courtyard this little kitchen so tranquil. The staff were very quick to take your and polite. Although we didn't have any food it did look delicious.
Lovely friendly staff, excellent service and food.
I was travelling into Edwinstowe and looking for somewhere that had well organised outdoor seating and a considered menu and I got all that at The Village Kitchen. The outdoor seating is arranged really well, offering sunny and shady spots, covered and non covered as well as the offering of hot water bottles and blankets if needed. The menu is full and contains so many options that I've been back since for another lunch. Not only are there options printed on the table menus but they have the specials board and delicious cakes inside. It is an accessible venue and you can reach it from the car park with no issues. The car park is spacious and serves the surrounding businesses but there is always space and feels safe. The owners and workers are so friendly and do all they can to make your time there enjoyable. Definitely recommend a visit to this lovely place!
Lovely little cafe set in a restored courtyard.
Loved it here, came with three friends after a walk to the mighty oak. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Staff were lovely. Shame we don’t live closer - I would be in everyday!
Had a delicious lunch at the village kitchen, we had the small plates all very tasty 😋, first time we have found them will definitely recommend.
Lovely courtyard tables and small indoor seating if weather not so good. Menu varied and good quality.
Fantastic place love the food and cosyness. The two ladies that run it always have a smile and conversation with everyone. They always make you feel welcome. The food is amazing definitely definitely recommend the place to eat or just have a drink ,the mocha is fantastic.
Really enjoyable place. Tiny little cafe inside so you would have to hope for a seat. But it is worth it. I had the Breakfast muffin and it was delicious. If all the other food is as good then your in for a treat.
Had a most delicious breakfast with friends here. They are very courteous with a good selection offered. In these difficult times they have created and manage a good safe environment.
