Excellent friendly staff, good value food and very welcoming towards dogs. Service good but not at all intrusive. Pickle the dog loved the "scraps" he was given - best beef, pork, turkey and gravy. Highly recommend

Really tasty steak and ale pie in front of the fire. The owner recommended a walk across the moors to Blanchland and said he would pick us up to bring us back to our car. Can't recommend this place enough! We'll be back. Thank you for your hospitality!

If you've never been to the Punch Bowl you should do yourself a favour! Great place for food whether you want to eat in the bar or in the formal restaurant. Our favourite pub bar none!

Lovely Sunday lunch, Yorkshire puddings were amazing. Dad was a little disappointed as he had his heart set on the steak pie, but that just means he will have to go back in the week! Garlic mushrooms were delicious but sadly no room for a dessert

Visited for Sunday diner after being disappointed by another pub nearby. We could not fault the service it was warm friendly and inviting. The food was top notch with both of us having a pork roast followed by desert of sticky toffee pudding and salted caramel tart. The pub itself had a lovely community feel with staff taking time out to be friendly and chatty to all customers.
