The Piccante - Edinburgh - Photo album

Chips cooked perfectly. Rapid service. Food was hot and fresh. The gentleman man service was professional and friendly. The atmosphere was quiet I assume due to time I arrived. Decor is fantastic must see!!
Incredible spot for the best chippy in town!!! I've been traveling for months and this place was on the top of my list. Did NOT let me down. I've tried a few chippy places here in Edinburgh and this place is by far the best. They have a large menu and extremely friendly staff. Sal and his team do it
We went to Cafe Piccante based on recommendation for the best deep fried food. And it was AMAZING! we shared 1/2 pizza and Mars bar. Plus the service was friendly and quick. Thank you!
An affordable and friendly stop for local delicacies in Edinburgh. The fish and chips were freshly made, authentic and crisp. I also had the vegetarian pizza, it had a generous quantity of vegetables as well as cheese. Half portions are available as well. The gentleman at the counter was kind enough
Only one worker, but well worth the wait! He was very nice and patient with our orders. Prices are affordable and reasonable. Food was cooked HOT to order and brought to the table. Definitely try the chili sauce, little heat with sweet kick!!! This is a hole in the wall restaurant, but a mini treasu
Delicious deep fried Mars Bar with ice cream! Highly recommend trying it out. We also had 2 deep fried sausages where they added salt and vinegar and that was delicious. Everything was so good that we went for another round and this time had the Fried Twix bars with Ice Cream and deep fried pizza --
Fantastic hospitality and food. Service is quick and the fish and chips is delicious! Pop in and drop a good word on Google Reviews or Trip Advisor for a free deep fried mars bar.
Finally tried the world famous Scottish cuisine the deep fried mars bar - was bloody lovely, and ice cream topped it off nicely. Literally got another straight after finishing. 10/10 would recommend for all English looking for the deep fried sweet treats 🤤
The wait at Dishoom was around the block so I walked here. Great call. Very good fish and outstanding chips, made even better by curry sauce. Made me wish I lived in the UK
Went in for a quick bite, got some really good quick bites. 4 star coz they currently have very less vegetarian menu. Staff was super friendly, music was loud and and crowd was hip. Nice Friday evening. Service is quick, pizza was fresh. Good late night eatery. Very well located. Overall liked it.
We tried the deep fried Mars Bar and Bounty bar and they were both incredible. One of the best things we have tasted!! The staff was also super friendly. Highly recommend this spot, best deep fried Mars bar in Edinburgh.
Very cute fish and chips One of those places u'll get to try a fried mars bar 😏
Was recommended a Scottish beer and is a delicious drop. Deep fried Pizza was on our bucket list and it didn’t disappoint.
Good place to try "Deep Fried Mars Bar"!!! Ok price (5£) and you can choose other bars. Very nice service :)
I came here almost 2 years ago and had to come back today to eat the deep fried pizza and the Mars Bars again. They have a lot of deep fried food options as well as the "normal" options. The place is clean and the staff super friendly and welcoming.
This was my first-time visit to Scotland and wanted to have a good and quick lunch so ordered mixed doners and fish & Chips. It was really tasty and good, I loved it. I never had such a tasty doner before. You must visit this cafe once and try atleast doner or burgers.
Delicious food, and incredible service to boot! Someone was always around making sure we had everything we needed. Stopped by a few days ago for a fried Mars Bar and just had to stop in again for some fish and chips. Stop in for great food and friendly faces!
Ordered and eaten in here a few times, usually late at night after a night out, or when just in the mood for a good chippy. Good clean venue, cracking chips and kebabs - just everything you would expect and ask for from a decent chippy. Lovely staff too
Easily one of the best chippies I've ever had. I know it's always packed when the pubs get out so we went for the lunch menu instead and hot damn! Continues to be an integral part to any Edinburgh visit for me
