Always a delight and the best latte I’ve tasted in Edinburgh. Great staff, so friendly and welcoming and I’m now quite addicted to the carrot cake. Again, everyone likes carrot cake different ways, but Howdah do it the best

Came into this lovely cafe last Sunday to focus on university work. It was not only beautifully presented , but it had a great atmosphere with Paul and Ben who were working being extremely attentive. Great little coffee shop and tea / coffee seller. We only had flat whites and some biscuits and cake but everything was perfect. The coffee was lovingly prepared by a barista who really looks like he enjoys making coffee. It was delicious.

The best coffee in the area and the staff are lovely. If getting beans to take away, you can get them ground if you don’t have a grinder. There’s a nice selection of tea… and cake, too.
Seems like a great place to have a coffee and chat, but it’s also where I buy my coffee. The selection and prices are amazing, the workers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Best place to buy coffee in town.
Very helpful staff who knows about coffee beans. Tell what kind of taste you like and they will suggest the best origin. The interior decoration is very nice. In my opinion, the best coffee shop in the UK.
Amazing, high quality teas with delicious bakes. I especially recommend the Amoretti cookie and the Scottish breakfast!

Has the best amaretti in the world. I’m quite a connoisseur of amaretti (aka macaroons - not the same as macarons), and have compared dozens of different kinds over the years, as well as made them myself.
We happened to wander into this cafe two years ago, I discovered that its amaretti are the bes
A lovely cafe with a great atmosphere. We grabbed sandwiches, coffee and walnut cake and coffee, which were tasty. Great selection of (vegan!!) sweet treats as well.

What a lovely cafe in Edinburgh with a welcoming and warm atmosphere! I enjoyed the almond (amaretti) biscuits, which were a piece of art. There is a great variety of coffee and tea to choose. I will definitely come back to taste a cup of coffee or tea.

Without a doubt the best place for coffee in Edinburgh and vicinity! (Whether sit in, takeaway or bought to make at home). Also delicious selection of vegan friendly cakes - carrot cake is highly addictive, peanut butter cookie dreamy and amaretto biscuit sof as a cloud.
