Decent for coffee & a roll in the morning, but I've tried coming back at lunchtime and the shelves are pretty bare. Understandably a busy time, but you'd think more stuff would be getting baked to meet the lunch demand.
Very good place, you know, just between you and me, one time i saw one of the staff deliver a baby and then save puppies from a buring building. I just wanted a sausage roll but you know naw bad if you ask me.
This is a really great shop with great service. I really like all the staff here as they are always so nice to me. I especially like Usman as he makes the best coffees and is very kind.
Went in for a quick bite to eat. Food was amazing and very filling. Staff extremely friendly, helpful and chatty 👍🏻
Quick service, only downside was while we were eating and drinking one of the staff decided to drench the table next to us with disinfectant, fair enough cleanliness is what we like to see but we don't like to taste it 😂😂
Friendly staff, and cheap and cheerful bakery food. Recently refurbished so nice and modern. Not always the healthiest, but they do offer porridge and salads in case you can resist the temptation of a steak bake and caramel custard doughnut!!
I went in here the other morning and what a nice start to the day, the staff appeared to be happy in their work, especially the tall guy called Kennoy, or Kenray something - forgive me but I didn't quite catch his name. He was genuine and friendly and guided me through as I wasn't sure of all the products. I am normally grumpy in the morning but he was just so nice, not in a "Have a nice day" American kind of way, but in nice manner which really made my day. It taught me that it costs nothing to be nice, no matter what job we do. On leaving he even said thank you, something that can mean so much for return business so thank you to whoever employs the staff because I thought they were super.
Grabbed lunch here for a hungry family on a Sunday lunchtime. Near a little park so it's nice to take out and go and sit on a bench, or you can take your food into the National Museum over the road and use one of their designated picnic zones!
Opened bang on 7, warm upon arrival and a decent range of savories and cakes as expected at Gregg's
Good range of food, friendly efficient staff.
Good food, however, sometimes the register doesnt always work and have to use cash instead.
What can I say - Gregg's is a very tasty place

The first Greggs was opened in 1951. Growing regionally from its North East base, Greggs began to acquire other regional bakery chains across the rest of the country from the 1970s onwards. By the 1990s, it was the largest bakery chain in the country after acquiring its major rival, Bakers Oven, in 1994. Always a very cheery Gregg's, cheerful staff, hot coffee and fresh scran...what more can you ask?
