Amazing food!!!! Excellent excellent!
Service is outstanding!!! They accommodated us even though we don’t have a reservation. Came here by coincidence and it was totally worth it!!!
Nice ambiance and reasonable prices!!!
A gem in Edinburgh and a must visit restaurant here..💚
Everything is just incredible and I will let the food speak for itself!
Great job to the chef and everyone!
Mike and Olivia were extremely nice 👍
Doing this review while waiting for our desserts 😂
Had a fabulous tasting menu. This was a gift for my birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed everything. The paired wines were fantastic and matched each course perfectly. The moules marinere and rice pudding were the stars of the show
Delicious. We were a large group and the service was polite, informative and attentive. Food came at a perfect pace. Every dish was delicious. Come here for a cutting edge seafood experience in Edinburgh… before it gets too popular!
Really really nice dishes. You can get a load of starters and treat it like tapas. The leek bread comes warm with flavoured butter and very very well priced for what it is. Everything else is on the expensive side, but it does taste delicious. Be warned that the don't serve tap water and it is £5 for a bottle. Over all I would definitely come back again - as a treat.
Really good dishes, seafood cooked perfectly woth not too quirky or overpowering flavours but sufficient creativeness. I had tasting menu at offer value, which was absolutely good for value with extra bread and potato which is highly recommended. Good wine selection too and the staff recommends good wine by the glass to match.
Following Michelin’s guide, Dulse proudly offer seafood plates in Edinburgh.
I go with lunch deals (2 courses for 19 and 3 courses for 24)
The appetizer Mackerel fish is sour and tasty
The extra oyster can be ordered with the freshness and acceptable prices.
The star is the main dish as the black ink risotto is perfectly cooked or the fish dish with curry sauce is so tender and mouthwatering.
The dessert Eton mess and the chocolate honestly might be too sweet for me.
for savvy food enthusiast, this lunch deal can be a great choice. the portion is not big but acceptable fortunately.
We were here for lunch and had a variety of different dishes from the menu. Every dish was delicious, with the crab main and chocolate pave dessert dishes being our favourites.
The restaurant was surprisingly quiet but the music created a pleasant atmosphere. Service was also superb.
We didn’t have any of the wines, but the wine list is quite extensive.
Good sea food option for Edinburgh.
Great range of options on the day. Mixture of small 3 plates and 2 mains was pushing our limit. Managed to squeeze in a dessert between us!
The seafood was fresh and of course exceptional well prepared.
Good drink options to match. With a separate bar area downstairs from the restaurant providing cocktails.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Nice addition to the West End.
Potentially expensive - especially during cost of living crisis - but we will return when possible.
We enjoyed our '6 plates for 4 people' meal through Itison. The goan curry and the crumble were very tasty. They catered well for gluten-free by serving me up soft warm bread as a side (not that awful crumbly bread you get elsewhere). Atmosphere upstairs is great, maybe need a think about how to do the same downstairs as felt like two completely different places.
A great new place for Scottish seafood.
We were particularly impressed by the whole lobster thermidor, tender and succulent meat in a creamy sauce, and the meat tasted even sweeter and was firmer at the claw and knuckle. The highlight of our meal.
We liked the octopus as well, a single well grilled and tender tentacle complimented by burnt tomato and citrus barley sauce which were nicely presented on plate.
We had our oysters natural and they tasted relatively mild, good yet not among the best we have had in Scotland. Cocktails were just alright, though we didn’t come for that.
Absolutely amazing, lovely staff and the best food! Mum is coeliac and it was no problem! Get the lobster crumpet or you will miss out.

Went for lunch with a friend, we are both chefs so we were quite excited to see what this new venue had to offer.
I'll say it now, this experience was 10/10 for both of us and we can't wait to come back.
We obviously loved all of the star dishes such as the crab ( packed with flavour), the octopus, and the cod (which was cooked to perfection and the sauce is to die for).
As the expectations for the star dishes were definitely met, us as chefs look for the small details, as an old headchef of mine said: "the difference between a very good place and an excellent place it's in the details", and yes, at "Dulse" they knew all about the small details.
We were impressed by the taste and texture of the bread (not your average bread), the mussels couldn't have been cooked more to perfection, the crab was broken apart so well that it was so easy to eat it without any effort, the side of hispy cabbage was to die for (again, simplicity done right). One of our favourite dishes technically speaking was the Arbroath smokie tart ( couldn't have been balanced any better) as the tart was perfectly crispy and felt so delicate!
I'm sure I'm probably forgetting a thing or two but everything just deserves a compliment, but of course I will include the exceptional care and service of front of house, as well as the perfect cocktails we got recommended which made the hole experience that much better. This shows how important is it sometimes to allow yourself to be recommended and guided for the best experience.
Thank you to all the Dulse team!

We went for our wedding anniversary. Very nice fish with interesting dressing.
A bit tok noisy though.
Superb food with absolute attention to quality and perfection in cooking. We had ALL the starters, Halibut and Hake.
Great food and an amazing chef wouldn't be sufficient.. They got the staff, an amazing winning team who greeted us with smiles, brought the food dish by dish with true dedication.
We came here by coincidence, just tourists walking the streets looking for a restaurant to eat.. We didn't expect a Michelin level restaurant.. Dulse delivers on every single level.
Great new Edinburgh restaurant with a lovely wine bar. All food was amazing but the arbroath smokie tart was just brilliant. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend and I will definitely be back.
A wonderful experience eating at Dulse. The food is on the more expensive side but this is warranted given the quality - our food was delicious (the Thai curry crab was one of the best curries I've ever had). Staff service was impeccable - a brilliant end to our Edinburgh holiday.
Came here for an early birthday dinner with my mum and husband. They were a little short staffed so service could have been slightly quicker BUT everything else was impeccable. Each plate of food we had was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was comfortable and the drinks were kept flowing. I asked for a cocktail that wasn't on the menu and it was no bother for it to be made.
