The pancakes were very different than the traditional ones, it's more like bread, but it's yummy though. The full traditional Scottish breakfast was huge, good sauces, higgis, bacon,....and decent price (about 15£) cozy place and attentive service, the pineapple and apple juice were fresh and really
Did the ItIsOn voucher deal for two people. Food was decent, nice wee venue. Clean and sharp service. Great to try a new venue out and was pleasantly surprised. It was awfully hot in the dining area though! May I suggest upgrading the air con system to cope with the extra clientele when at full cap
The best Full English (Scottish) breakfast I've ever had. Staff were amazingly professional and friendly. Atmosphere was exceedingly relaxed. Perfectly situated on the royal mile. A must visit to fuel your morning!
Walked in and waited around 15 mins for dinner here, the staff was very pleasant and nice in helping us get a table. We ordered Cullen Skink, Caesar Salad, and a Beef Burger. Everything was great and tasty, especially the Cullen Skink. Very nice service from the staff as well. Pricepoint, it was ver
Very good place to have lunch. Nice sunny terrace overlooking the cathedral. The food was very good and in good quantity. The service was very friendly and efficient. All recommended.
Not cheap (£50 for lunch for 2) but food was delicious! Lovely interiors and atmosphere too. Recommend the haggis bon-bons. We easily got a table inside during the Fringe, at around 2pm, so reservations likely not required.
We were fortunate enough to get a reservation at Luckenbooths at pretty short notice. The service was really good and the food was good as well. We had Fish and Chips and the special which at the time was a Chimichurri-seasoned Steak. The steak was cooked perfectly, though I honestly didn't get t
Amazing food and great service (Erin was fabulous!) - would most definitely dine here again! Asked us about any allergies when we ordered so if you have allergies, eat here!
Surprisingly amazing. With all honesty, it wasn’t my first choice for the evening, nor that I though it’s was going to be as great as it ended up being. It all started with the sweet hostess that welcomed us kindly inside in a rainy cold evening. Noah (our server) just simply took it to the next lev
Lovely place for food on the Royal Mile opposite St Giles cathedral. We visited for lunch, and the menu has a range of options for big and small appetites without overwhelming you. Service was excellent with pleasant staff, with food and drinks served promptly after ordering. We had fish and chips w
Tried the Pumpkin soup for the first time, which was fantastic. Great friendly service. Will definitely be back.
Very lovely service and super tasty breakfast. A bit more pricey but it’s worth it. Interior is lovely designed and the atmosphere was very calming. Good Scottish and vegetarian breakfast
The experience at this place was great. We came in a large group and they accommodated us great. The smoked salmon is the stand-out and absolutely delicious, though the portion size is very small for that, so I would order a side to go with it. The other dishes were usually medium to large portions.
Excellent service from genuinely warm and friendly staff. They were super friendly with our 15 month old babe. We had Haggis pie and it was delicious. Good high chair and nice decoration. We had such a fantastic experience in there, highly recommend it!
Excellent food and service. The meals were presented beautifully and the staff took extra care regarding my food allergies which was much appreciated. Loved it! Would definitely dine again and highly recommend it for the Cullen skink, salmon, and many other Scottish specialty dishes.
Cullen skink soup was delicious! Very inviting feeling inside and attentive service
