Would highly recommend this chippy! I am a ceoliac and have been nervous eating out after several instances being ‘glutened’. Delighted to have found somewhere I can enjoy take out again ! My partner also thoroughly enjoyed his normal gluten filled fish supper. Thanks again!
It's not fancy, or particularly great food. But, it's open at 2am on my way home. So that makes them a hero.
Had a fantastic gluten free fish supper. Delicious and totally safe from a dedicated fryer. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and they even had a free-from bar of chocolate. Will definitely be back soon!
Best fish and chips I've had for ages. Fish cooked from fresh. Staff very friendly. Dog friendly too and gave me a doggy portion each for my two dogs. Would definitely be back when in the area.
We are in town on a vacation from the US, my son wanted authentic fish and chips. After checking around we found this restaurant. Due to not having transportation we had to have a place that delivered. The reviews for this place were great and they delivered to our hotel. There was small issue w
The staff here are always so friendly and accommodating. They take allergens very seriously so for someone who has coeliac disease they are a great option for eating out. The food always arrives on time, with huge portion sizes and always hot. Recently an item was missing from an order. The owner wa
AMAZING!! I used to love Fish n Chips before I went vegan and their Tofish was really satisfyingly tasty and similar to the real thing. We ordered a lot of their vegan menu (chippy sausage, calamari, vegan haggis fritters, southern fried chicken burger, tartare sauce, curry sauce) and it all went do
My friend & I purchased haddock suppers earlier to-day & they were absolutely delicious. Fish was really succulent, cooked to order in lovely crispy batter. Chunky chips were a great accompaniment. This was our first visit, but certainly won't be our last.... Well done #fish Haymarket.
The first time I have tried "salt and sauce" and it was amazing! The fish and chips were delicious and reasonably priced. However, the downside was how long it took to get our food...the place was due to open at 4.30pm, the staff were still prepping at 4.45pm before finally letting us in and even th
Our new favourite chippy! These guys are fantastic! The food is absolutely delicious. They have plenty of vegan options — highly recommend the tofish. The staff went out of their way to help us when we messed up our order (even though it was totally our fault). Can’t thank them enough. We’ll definit
Haddock was succulent, super white and fresh. Traditional crispy batter perfectly cooked with a proper crunch. Chunky chips. One of the most delicious fish suppers I’ve had and definitely the best in city centre. Will be back, so great to have a restaurant quality Chippy in city centre.
Ordered fish and chips and some vegan options and wasn’t disappointed. Fantastic helpful staff, food was amazing and seriously tasty. Best I’ve tasted in Edinburgh. We will def be back and totally recommend to others.
This shop was excellent!! Visiting from South Carolina in the United States. Had a great conversation with the staff while I waited on our huge order (9 meals, several sides and drinks). It was ready much quicker than I thought it would be and the food was great. They even gave us a surprise in our
My family have had several deliveries from Fish Haymarket and they have always been excellent. They have a great selection and it's good to know they have several gluten free options, with two coeliacs in the family this is one of the few places everyone can order from! Brilliant customer service
Hands down my favourite Fish and Chips in Edinburgh! I ordered vegan scampi and tofish on two separate occasions , both really tasty and good portions (I could not finish the tofish dinner without help). The shop is great as they can also do Gluten Free options for both vegan and non vegan items (no
Bright and shiny chip shop with great specials on offer. Friendly staff. Bought a haddock supper with curry sauce and mushy peas. Fish chips and peas were great but the curry sauce had not been heated which detracted from what could have been a great meal.
General: Not much of a wait, nice taste and kind staff. Small building but with lots of quality. Specifics: Ordered fish and chips; the taste was nice and fresh. To be *very* picky, the batter was a little soggy on the bottom, but it didn't cause any problems. Also got Tofish. I liked the taste. I
This is an excellent place for fresh fish. Everything is cooked fresh. High quality. Thank you.
