I had an absolutely delightful experience at this Syrian sweet shop! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the enticing aroma of freshly baked treats. The sweets were not only visually appealing with their intricate designs but also incredibly delicious.

Wonderful food. Vegetarian and Vegan options only. Lovey Falafel wrap and Kunafa. The food is prepared in-house everyday and fresh. Falafels are baked and not deep fried unlike other shops. Its an healthy option too. Would definitely visit every week without fail to taste the yummy Baklavas and Kunafa

Chocolate baklava is a little too sweet for me, but the original one is great! Owner says it’s his favourite ;) It was also really nice of him to give me a bite for taste. Update. Second time favourites are 1)with cheese 2)with milky pudding ish filling.

God I just love baklavas. Thankfully I don’t live near this place or I’d be here all the time. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good selection of baklavas and other Middle Eastern treats. Very tasty indeed and they are all fresh. Reasonable price as well considering location.

Went in today on a whim, had a wonderful conversation with the gentleman who was working. He answered my many questions with great answers and introduced me to turkish coffee (which came in an edible cup!) and I got a selection of sweets (the chocolate baklava and the clotted cream and cheese one are my favourite) and a savoury flatbread. I will definitely be back!! Thank you!!

I enjoyed a wonderful brunch here on my last day in Edinburgh. I recommend the Turkish coffee with just a dash of sugar and the baklava for a lovely bitter-sweet combo.

This was the best baklava I had in Edinburgh and especially with the combination of the Turkish coffee

Delicious coffee, service with a smile, tasty Turkish coffee & baklava - a perfect stop-off when walking into Edinburgh from the South Side.

Loved the Turkish coffee and baklavas! Our favourite were the pistachio baklavas, but they were all so tasty and at a very reasonable price.

Oh god this place has good baklava. In fact it is the only place to have baklava in the city, I haven't been able to actually find it anywhere else. Operator Talas is a gem, and they have a baker from Syria do their pastries. All fresh, including their phyllo (which is a ridiculous amount of work for you non-bakers). Access is good, just nip over from the Meadows.

Turkish coffee. If you are in Edinburgh you have to taste the coffee here. It's excellent, way better than Costa and Starbucks.

Best Falafal I've ever eaten. Exceptional wholesome baked goods using lovely light dough. Full flavoured fillings to savoury goods like, spinach, cheese or minced lamb. Exceptional rustic Syrian food perfect for when you are on the move. We enjoyed our Baklava but you can tell I love my savouries. Sorry no pictures, I eat my food.

Our favourite breakfast spot. The owner is delightful and very friendly and the selection of baklava and sweets are outstanding (and all made fresh in house). There are also homemade savoury snacks that make a great breakfast or lunch. Perfect for a Turkish coffee or tea as well. Highly highly recommended!

The owner is a really nice person! There was a wide selection of pastries, I chose 5 different ones and they all tasted amazingly good, I think it was at the perfect point of sweetness, as you could also taste the nuts flavour. Also, I have noticed that Google Maps leads you two or three shops next to the Sweety house, so keep walking and you will see it :P
