We stopped by for dinner. There was a bit of a wait, but we were able to enjoy drinks at the bar until a table was available. Make a reservation, if you can. The staff were great across the board. Very friendly. Ben served our table. He was great and recommended some nice dishes. Try the haggis towe
After a long day in Edinburgh we chose to visit this little Jen of a place. The food was served quickly and was of a very good standard. The mash was to die for. The service was really good. Polite friendly and happy staff made our visit a pleasant one. The restaurant was a beautiful little plac
First time here and won't be the last. Food more expensive than in other places but it's worth it: you only need to see the pictures of the haggis tower and steak pie: very original and delicious too. First time trying too the deep fried Mars bar and is not as heavy as it sounds. 👍🏻
Tasty food, for my first dinner here, after my 40 visits in Edinburgh on biz. Though amount of haggis on “haggis tower” was surprisingly tiny compared with other restaurants, I told my small complaint to a waiter, who understood my comment and gave me small amount additionally. It was slower, but Ov
The service here is amazing, never had this good of customer service during my time in Europe. The waiters were constantly checking on us and topping up our water for free. I had the steak pie and the lemon salmon, both were great! Though the vegetables were burnt for the steak pie's side. Toilets a
Great authentic Scottish place. Staff was very nice and friendly, food was really good, plenty of traditional pub food options. Would recommend the haggis tower or the pipers feast which is a sampler of many appetizers. Would come back, in fact, we are here twice in our stay.
One of the nicest places to eat and hang out. The food has been perfect every time, and has easily been some of the best food in Edinburgh, cozy home cooked meals, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu
We ate a great Haggis, first of our life. We had the chance to be welcomed by Fraser, that with great kindness and simpathy introduced and presented us the Scottish culture and people. Great experience, superb atmosphere and food
We popped in here for dinner. The food was outstanding, excellent pub fare. The Oor Pie was an absolute highlight. Possibly best pie I’ve ever had. Impeccable service.
We had great fun with our group of 10 at Pipers Rest. Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food! Try the Famous Steak pie! We also enjoyed the live music.
