Came here for lunch because it was recommended to us but was turned away because they had a small private party there but the party only took up maybe about 4 -5 tables in the very small section in the back even though the rest of the restaurant was completely empty. I'm guessing it was because they're was only one waiter working? I'm not sure. My rating of those place will be on the food and not this incident. Anyway, we came back in an hour to have lunch. The fish and chips was nice, the grilled sea bass fillet tasted fine but there was excess oil in the entire plate. If you decide to come here try to get a window seat so you can have a nice view.

Excellent high tea! Top quality and good price. Plenty to eat - we even left some. The scone was to die for - the best I've had since arriving in Scotland several months ago πŸ‘ πŸ‘Œ πŸ‘ πŸ‘Œ πŸ‘

Went for afternoon tea with my daughter inlaw. It was lovely ,gave 4 stars for service as although the tea was served quickly, it took longer to be able to order additional drinks and had to look for someone to enable us to pay the bill, however this may have been as the restaurant side was busy with what looked like a coach party. Will definitely go back ,the view of the castle and scots monument added to the ambience.

Had a lovely afternoon tea and drinks at Scotts in the Mercure Hotel Princes Street. Staff were so professional and friendly they created a great experience. Dietary needs catered for with no fuss and the bubbly was brilliant. Highly recommend the view, the calm ambience and the experience. Will definitely return to try lunch and/or dinner.
