Came highly recommended from a friend and I can see why. The amazing display of food catches you as you walk passed. Hasan makes everything from scratch, including his amazing pillowy flatbreads. We started with homemade baba ganoush, which was delicious and made me feel healthy eating it. My Adana kebab was a huge portion, cooked perfectly with a side of garlic yoghurt and chilli sauce. It also came with both a tasty bulgar wheat dressed in a tangy tomato sauce, as well as a portion of fluffy rice all for under £12. My partner had a massive chicken kebab with the meat being succulent and smoky from the charcoal cooking. Hasan laid down a generous, vibrant salad and more of his tasty flatbreads that he passionately rolls out right in front of you. Worth noting it's also BYOB and there's a handy Oddbins a couple of minutes away to pick up wine or cold beers. Hasan was a very warm host, always checking if you need anything and chatting away to guests. He's clearly very hard working and passionate about his food. Check it out!

Don't let the outside fool you! Beneath the broken tiles and posters that would rather fit a coffee shop, is the best kebab you will ever eat. The meat was juicy and tender with the homemade wrap made before us, the skinny long kebab was perfect as you would get the perfect ratio of meat to vegetables every bite! This restaurant is living proof to never judge a book by its cover. + plus the baklava's were delicious.

Amazing doner wraps and baklava. The owner makes the wraps fresh to order and they are insanely good with plenty of fresh veggies and meat. Perfect for a quick bite to walk with as you explore the city!

Ordered on Deliveroo, the food was really tasty and lots of flavour. The pide was delicious and would definitely recommend, and falafel and doner kebabs had great flavour and a good portion size - just over a foot long! However, not five stars as kebabs were cold (even though pide was hot), suggesting they'd been left on the side for quite some time. Overall though, really great food.

The best kebab in Edinburgh. Everything is made from scratch by the chef himself including the flatbread. The portions are big and more importantly the food is great tasting. The Chef is super friendly and I honestly return many times because of him! I also recommend the chicken and lamb on the coal if you have time to eat in :D

BEST DONER KEBAB! So where do I begin with this gem. The owner makes the doner meat himself, he then serves it on a freshly hand stretched dough to make the nicest naan bread. His sauces are also home made. Talk about fresh! I've eaten more than my fair share of kebabs in my life and this place tops them all! Would give seven stars if I could. Keep up the good work!

For what this small place lacks in ambience and (whispers) cleanliness, it more than makes up with friendly, kind service and mouthwateringly good food. This isn't a quick in/out kebab shop, but a proper Turkish restaurant run by a gentle proprietor who cares about the food and the people that eat there. We brought a good bottle of red and shared some starters and chicken + lamb shish each. A perfect meal - just wish it was busier in there!

Amazing food and sweet owner. The kebab I ordered was made fresh and was so juicy inside. The rice and bulgar wheat were both very tasty, I could have ate that by itself. The portions may look small but there was a salad on the side and additional bread so it did fill me up well. My friends ordered a wrap and it was hand made infront of us and not pre packaged wraps! I think that’s a very rare find. The only downfall is that the restaurant doesn’t look very clean with the tables and the broken tiles. The tables weren’t wiped but the owner cleaned it for us without being prompted. I really did enjoy my dinner here, I wish I lived in leith so I could go here more often. The baklava as well was delicious, it was my first time trying chocolate baklava and it was genueinly delicious. I’ll also go back to try kunafa which is freshly made (so place your order 20 mins or so before leaving) I think the tram building has affected business badly so definitely go here and try the food!

Easily the best kebab in Edinburgh. Everything made fresh, including the bread, as well as a great range of mezze and stews. The meats are all incredibly tender, and there are extensive veggie options too. Whole shop is run by one guy who clearly puts his heart and soul into the place, and his establishment deserves far more recognition than it has.

Have tried Turkish food, particularly doner in various places in the UK and Europe, but this is probably one of the best in terms of taste, generosity and price🙂. Never had a bad experience, very good customer service and will be back again soon👍..More people need to visit though to keep the business going.👍

I’ve tried this restaurant and it’s one of the places people should try when they visit Edinburgh. Very reasonable prices for the quantity of the food and compared with other restaurants in Edinburgh. Food is delicious and you really feel you eat in Turkey. Staff is friendly and helpful. Very happy customer and will return again.

The food was AMAZING. I have had the conversation with my boyfriend that while there are many places in Edinburgh that are good, there are very few we’d go back to again. I would go back here any day and everyday. The highlight was the aubergine but also the kind service. We were ushered in by the sweetest proprietor and watched him hand-make (as in tossing the dough for our bread) all of our delicious meal. I’m actually counting down the seconds til I get to go back!

Excellent place. A bit rough around the edges, but in a good way. Soulful. Hassan, the owner, prepares everything (including the bread!) in front of you. Incredible value too: I had a main course (the lamb kebab, which comes with salad and rice), hummus and bread and a baklava dessert for £15. Will be back again.
