This cafe has a great choice of pastries and cakes.
I had the strawberry tart and cannoli they were amazing! The coffee was great too if you are passing through the gardens.

What a day at the Fountain Cafe! (I’m a poet and didn’t know it)
The Sun is shining. The Castle dominating. The Fountain in perpetual flow. The flora are in full bloom. The plump pigeons are cooing for more tasty morsels and the selfish seagulls are squawking, “mine, mine, mine!”
Hot town summer in the city... and I’m sitting here with a 99 cone in hand... 2 scoops of S.Luca vanilla ice cream and a Cadbury’s Flake... watching the rascals get stocious in Princes Street Gardens, as you do. Ain’t Edinburgh grand? It is good to be the King!
Beautiful Spot and Nice Range of Products in the Cafe Bar, new management are very helpful
The location is the main draw. We stopped for a bit to eat and sat for a while, enjoying the done-up Ross Fountain and the gardens. We had ice cream and a hot snack. It was all a bit over-priced and the staff were not communicative but, as I said, the location is great.

We had a really nice experience at the Fountain Cafe. Despite the place was really busy, Noori (I think that’s how you spell it) was extremely professional and nice, and made us the best iced lattes we’ve ever had in Edinburgh! Totally recommended
