I've been regularly attending Comiston Dental for many years and always been happy with their service. The introduction of Alison as a dedicated hygienist has been very welcome. She was brilliant and was able to spend quality time to address any concerns. Left with cleanest teeth ever!
Today was a great day. Not a phrase that I thought that I would say after visiting a Dentist. I left Comiston Dental practice being able to smile for the first time in years. I had neglected my teeth for many years due to my fear of visiting the Dentist and they had become so bad I was embarrassed at the condition of my mouth. I was eventually force, due to pain, to do something. I plucked up the courage and made a call to the practice. I explained the situation to the receptionist and she was extremely sympathetic put me at ease and booked me in for a visit as soon as she could. I was more than a little nervous at the first visit but Rose had clearly been briefed about my situation and quickly put me at ease. She was very caring and non-judgmental formulated a plan and reassured me that she would be able to sort me out. After a few weeks of treatment today was the day of my final fitting of my new denture and I was able to smile again. Thank you Rose.
Having been with this practice for over 30 years I have to say I cannot recommend them enough.
They have looked after myself and my children really well throughout these years. Very recently I had a severe painful tooth that ended up being removed. The dental team were so helpful and professional and the reception team checked up on how I was recovering after the procedure.
They are both professional and caring and I felt truly well looked after by the whole team
Highly recommend comiston dental. I have spent years trying to hide my teeth in every picture, so self conscious of them but afraid to do anything about them. I went to see Rose to enquire about what I could do to straighten them up, she instantly put me at ease with her friendly reassuring manner. Rose took the time to explain all the options and what's involved in each one, she patiently answered all my questions, even after the appointment I called and got the answers I needed. I eventually settled on Invisalign. I am half way through my journey now and can already see a huge difference!! If anyone is thinking of starting the Invisalign journey or even just looking for a new dentist, go here, all the staff are so friendly, patient and helpful 🙂
I have been a patient for approx 25 years. I have always had excellent attention and treatment. Throughout the practice there is always a friendly, considerate and professional approach. I do feel so lucky and couldn't really ask for anything more.
Consistently excellent dental care, backed up by very helpful and friendly reception staff. I have total confidence in the service provided by this practice, and in particular by my regular dentist Rose.

My experience with Comiston Dental reflects the 5* reviews below, especially during that last difficult Covid lock-down period when I needed urgent root canal treatment and replacement of a collapsed filling. The practice has invested in an updated interior and expensive advanced PPE and air filtration equipment and instigated appropriate Covid safety protocols, allowing them to continue treating emergency presentations at a time when other dentists were closed. I have always felt comfortable with the different dentists I have seen, who all seem to work to a high standard under the capable leadership of Lizanne, but particular shout-outs should go to Rose and especially Alex, who has battled indefatigably to save a dodgy tooth. There will always be bumps along the road with specific treatments, but for me personally Comiston Dental went above and beyond when I had a problem that needed looking at urgently and I will happily continue to use and recommend them in the future.
Updated September 2022: A further good experience in repairing a crumbling tooth. Have a real sense that Lizanne will undertake remedial work aimed at preserving my dentistry as long as possible. Also impressed by the updated practice interior and the apparent investment in new dental techniques and training for staff. Unfortunately, Google won't let me write a new review but only to update my existing review, but I can confirm this remains 5*.
Been going to this practice for over a decade with my family and have always been treated very professionally. They have invested heavily in the building interior over the past few years and it now feels really modern, bright and clean inside.
Had my first piece of post-lockdown work done recently and their hygiene measures are second to none - top marks to Rose, Liz-Ann and the team!
Have been going here for a few years now. Eleonora is my dentist. She's awesome.. and that's coming from somebody who normally feels squeamish about dentists. This is the first time in my life I've been going to my dentist on a regular basis, and I look forward to it too. So I'm pleased.
I once turned up on the wrong day and had to see one of the other dentists who was good too. The receptionists are friendly and efficient.
They don't take card, but there's a cash machine nearby. Their preferred method of payment is cheque. Probably the only thing I use my chequebook for these days :-)

I've been going here for years and they're always really friendly and thorough. Prior to coming to this practice each time I would go to the dentist previously I would have new cavitiesor root canals or crowns needed, etc. Comiston dental recognised how often I was needing to get work done, started me on special stronger toothpaste and for the first time in my life, I have gone to the dentist (actually twice now!) and have had no cavities. Great work good people
I completely trust the dentist I see here, he is efficient, friendly, explains what he does, and most of all I find the interventions to be painless. The assistants and secretary are also always nice and helpful. I must add they are on time which is also a plus !
I had an encounter with bad customer service. I raised this in a review. The owner of the practice contacted me and made things good again. It's nice to see how the owner cares about his practice and customers. I was impressed with this.
I'm not the usual sort to review a Dentist but i've had a fear of the dentist since i was small but Elizabeth-Ann immediately put me at ease. Highly recommended Five Star
